Hi! So, on our next trip, we'll be staying at OKW again (YAY!!), and want to buy some supplies so that we can eat in the apartment from time to time and whatnot (we'll be there for 12 days). Which Walmart is the best one (I've heard the bigger one is alot busier?), and if we get a taxi there will it be easy to get one back again? Thanks in advance!! :D

Have you considered getting the groceries delivered? The delivery fee would be about the same as ( or less than) cab fare.

When we stay SSR we rent a car from Avis at the Hilton hotel or Budget from the Wyndham hotel - both are across the street from DTD. I ususally rent a car for 2 days and pay around $36 total for the car. We also have the ablility to eat off property those two days and the money we save by eating off property, pays for the rental car. So our transportation is free. Just hop on the bus to DTD and walk across the street.

I shop at the newer Super Walmart on Turkey Lake Rd which is 6 miles from SSR and its not really that busy there.

I second a PP who recommended a grocery delivery service. Both Garden Grocer (which we've used) and WeGoShop get great reviews on these boards. The delivery fee may well be less than the cost of a taxi or rental car. Also, the biggest reason for me to use a delivery service, is why spend your valuable WDW vacation time in a grocery store? :thumbsup2

Taxi round-trip from OKW was $40 in January for my sister. I had groceries delivered for us by Wegoshop and it cost $25, plus she shopped at Walmart and got everything on my list, plus some items were on sale. Plus she picked up our alcoholic beverages for us as well. Saved me an entire morning of shopping and hauling, just had to stash it all away!

We're looking into GardenGrocer, it looks kinda easier than trapsing to Walmart... We don't rent cars as a rule when we stay in Disney, we don't enjoy driving at home let alone in a foreign country, and so we get by on taxis and things :) Thanks for the suggestions! :D

And we like to go to the supermarkets, we're from the UK, so it's cool to have a wander, your supermarkets are just way cooler than ours! :)
