Tickets went on sale today for TSO and I'm planning to order soon. For those of you who have seen the show - is it better to get floor seats or lower level? I'm afraid if the floor seats are too far back we won't be able to see anything. Thanks for your help!

Where will you be seeing them? I don't usually like floor seats for the reason you stated but it depends on where its held.

As a rule for all concerts, I prefer lower level, as close to the stage as possible. Unless you're in the first 10 or so rows, your view can be seriously, maybe completely, blocked on the floor.

We saw TSO last year on the lower level directly next to the stage (handshaking distance - it was cool.) Although we were very close, the lighting effects may have been better from a more straight angle. It was a sit down crowd, so maybe the first section or 2 of the floor wouldn't be bad. I'd say ideal for TSO would be first level, first few rows (maybe first 10), maybe almost to the center of the arena. That would give you the straightest, most unobstructed view.

Have fun! I'm going to pass this year because I have 2 concerts in the next few weeks. But they were so worth it. It's a really, really long show, be prepared.

It looks like you're in Western MA, so that means you're probably going to Albany to see them, right?

Having seen them a few times at the Times Union Center, I'd suggest seating on the lower level, not the floor, on the side of the arena, maybe half-way (center ice for a hockey game). That way you'll have a good view of the light show and you won't be deaf after the concert either. It's loud, and I mean really loud, when you're up close.

Are you going to see them in Hartford? I passed on the floor seats, I don't like to look over anyone's head. We see them every year and sit in the lower level off to the side so we have a nice view and still get to enjoy the light show. The pyrotechnics are awesome too, we are close enough to feel teh heat.

Yes - We're planning on going to Hartford. Other cities that would work for us are Providence, RI and Manchester, NH. Hartford has a Sunday afternoon show which is perfect for us. Looks like lower level, not floor is the way to go. Thanks! Now I just have to get my kids to commit so I can get the tickets ordered.

Don't wait, they go fast. Your family is going to love this show. The first time we went my DH had no idea who we were going to see. He complained all the way that I was "dragging him to the opera" :lmao::lmao: Now he is always the first to remind me to watch for the tickets and make sure I call everyone :thumbsup2

We were on the floor 5 rows away from the stage - I nearly went deaf and blind. It was AWESOME
