Traditions Schedule

My mom is driving down with me to Orlando, and then flying back a couple of days later, so I will need to take her to the Sanford airport. I check in on Wednesday, and the only flights available are really early (7:30-ish) on Friday or Saturday morning. According to the CP website, Traditions is only a half day on either day 3 or 4 of your session. My mom needs to get her tickets now--is there any way to know what Traditions session I will be in? There's probably no way I could be back before 8:00 a.m. What time does Traditions usually start around? Anyone have any suggestions?

All I can tell you is that there are two tradition times each day that traditions is taking place. One begins somewhere around 8:00am. The other around 1:00 (those are estimates). From my own experience on the College Program, I had no idea when my Traditions was going to be until about Day 2. Even when I did find out, I didn't have a choice in the matter. I'm sorry that I wasn't very helpful. My suggestion would be to call the College Program, explain the situation and see if they can help. I'm not sure that they can, but it might be worth a shot.

No, you were very helpful! Now that I know one of the sessions starts at 8:00, I definitely will need to either drop my mom off very, very early or try to arrange something with the College Program people. Does anyone know who I should try to contact about this?

In the paperwork in that nice purple folder you have there, you should find some contact information. There should be an email address as well as a phone number for the college program. If not, check the website (wdwcollegeprogram.com). I know they have contact information.

Orlando International Airport and the Transportation Security Administration recommend arriving 90-120 minutes prior to your flight out of MCO. Yes, even if it's really early in the morning. Last month I had an 8am flight out of MCO, and at 6:30, I spent about half an hour in the security line.

So, if your mom's flight is at 7:30, you'd probably be dropping her off between 5:30 and 6 anyways, which should give you plenty of time to get to Disney University for an 8am Trad class.
