Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks Lisa!:hug:

Quick update.....The appointment went well. :goodvibes The doctor said that I am completely kidney stone free!:cool1: He did say that the lab results show that there is too much calcium in my urine so he ordered a couple of more tests to figure out why. I'll be doing the tests sometime in mid February.

I've got to head out and pick up the girls from my MIL's house. I'll try and get to journals tomorrow.

Have a nice evening!:grouphug:

:cool1: no more stones!!! :cool1:

Tracy, that is wonderful news! I'm so glad for you. Too much calicum? That's a switch. Most people, especially women, don't have enough.

I hope you all had a wonderful evening. :goodvibes

Thanks Lisa!:hug:

Today was a pretty good day. I got several things accomplished on my to do list and got some plans in place for the rest of the week.

My mom is coming home tomorrow.The physical therapist and nurse both wanted a few more days with her, but the insurance company wouldn't approve it. I know she is looking forward to coming home, but there is some concern that she is being released too early. We'll have to pray and wait and see what happens. Good thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!:goodvibes

I got a new book at the library called Reshaping It All by Candace Cameron Bure. (DJ from Full House) I'm really looking forward to reading it!:goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice evening and a great day tomorrow!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy. Your Mom might be released too early- being an acute rehab nurse I know the way they push people out and it is not fair- of course if you did not have insurance you would have the royal treatment because they can't make you go.Is the weather the pits or what? Glad to hear no more stones!

Linda

Tracy, I am so glad you are stone free and that they got some answers. :goodvibes You have waited a long time for that news!

That is beyond wrong that they released your mom so early and not a bit surprising, stuff like this makes me so angry, I dealt with this for years with my mom and it just never makes sense.

I am keeping you all in my prayers, I hope your mom's memory starts to return to normal and I know its going to be difficult for you all to figure out her care. Hang in there, I have been there and you were there for me and I want to be there for you.:hug:

DJ was my favorite on Full House, I might have to find that book!

Tracy, glad you are getting things done. Sorry to hear that your mother has to leave before she is ready. Insurance companies....:mad: Will she have any type of therapists or home health coming by when she gets home? My dad did a couple of times and that helped a lot. He actually improved after he got home cause they said he was more comfortable in his own environment.

:hug: prayers that you are able to work out her care.

Hi Tracy, I hope your weekend is going well. Just thinking about you and sending you a few of these::hug:

Hi Tracy,

I've been away from the boards for a bit and just finished catching up on your posts. I hope your mom is doing well at home. Sometimes just getting back into familiar surroundings really helps with the cognitive issues. Delirium is very common in that age when they are hospitalized. I won't even get started on my feelings regarding insurance compaines. :sad2:

Glad to hear you got a good report at doctor. I hope you are stone free for good!!

Take care of yourself and your family. My thoughts are with you. :goodvibes

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

It was a long weekend here. My DH had to work most of the weekend and dealing with the stress of the past few weeks just caught up to me and really wore me out. I woke up not feeling well this morning, but I have been feeling better throughout the day.

Today's Plan:
* School (DONE)
* Laundry (1/2 way done)
* Cashed out at SR (DONE)
* Purchase Disney gift card (DONE)
* Make dinner (thinking about it... Does that count?;) )
* Stop and see my parents (leaving in a few minutes)

If you could, please send some good thoughts/prayers my DH's way. He just found out that come spring, he'll have to do some major work on our car. Fixing cars is his LEAST favorite pastime, but I am so grateful that he can because he saves our family a lot of money by doing it himself. Please pray that the repairs will go well.... Thanks!:goodvibes

We're under a winter storm warning here for the next couple of days. We are sooo tired of snow. :cold: I sure hope that groundhog cooperates on Wednesday! ;) LOL!:laughing:

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy, I will say prayers for your dh, that is great he can do that but doing car repairs in his spare time is not my idea of fun! Poor thing, hopefully the repairs will go as quick as possible.

I am afraid that snow was sent to you straight from me! I am with you, winter can't be over soon enough.

I hope you began to feel better, you have so much on your plate now my friend, try to take care of you as best you can.:hug:

Thanks Amy. :hug:

Not much to report on the past couple of days...Lots of ice, cold, and snow= snow days for us!:banana: I've not been feeling all that well the past couple of days either so the snow days have helped as far as relaxation goes. :goodvibes

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Laundry
* MIL's taxes?

Speaking of taxes, I need to spend some time working on the behind the scenes paperwork to get those done. April 15th will be here before we know it. :eek:

Hope everyone has a nice day!:grouphug:

Bummer that your cars need work but How lucky you are to have DH that is good with cars. Ours go straight to the shop which of course is always $$$$! Enjoy your lazy snow days and try to stay cozy.

I'm starting to follow your journal again. Are you an accountant? That's pretty handy around tax time. I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. We are on snow day number 3 here mostly due to arctic blast. (They don't want the kids walkign to school in -12). It's nice because we can get quite a few things done, but I'm sure we'll hate it come summer when we're still in school.

I'm sorry to hear about your car and all the stress your husband is under. I will definitely say a little prayer for him.

Hi Tracy
Hope you had a good Friday. How is your mother doing since she came home? Better I pray.
Sorry to hear about the car, but at least he has the knowledge to be able to fix it. I am like Lola, we have to send it to the shop. :sad2:

Hoping that the weather isn't too bad for y'all. We have had cold and rain but that is it for this week. Suppose to freeze tonight, but at least no more rain for a few days.

Hey Tracy,

I hope you are feeling better and that things in general are going better. Just keeping you, your mom and the whole family in my prayers.

If that groundhog is wrong, lets go find the little rodent and teach him a lesson!!:laughing:

Hope things are going ok! Stay warm!!!! Praying for mom & all of you!

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

Right now, I am battling a bug of some kind. I have been sick off and on for the past few days. It got really bad on Sunday evening when we were watching the Super Bowl. Massive headache and lots of nausea. :sick: I have also been having some pain in my side. I'm not sure what that's about, but maybe once I am feeling better, it will go away. If it gets any worse, I may head to the ER because I couldn't get an appointment with my doctor until the 21st. Good thoughts and prayers are much appreciated!:goodvibes

I'm still on the restricted diet as well. I have another 24 hour urine catch on Thursday, followed by a fast on Friday and one more urine sample on Saturday. I hope it gives us some clues as to why I have too much calcium in my urine.

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Tracy, I hope you start to feel better and I hope you get some answers about that calcium thing. I am glad you say you will go to the ER if you feel bad, the 21st is a long ways away!

Hang in there and feel better soon.:hug:

What a weekend!:eek:

On Saturday morning, I went to the ER due to the pain in my side. Diagnosis= UTI and a possible pinched nerve in my back. They gave me some antibiotics and some anti inflammatory medication and sent me on my way. However, the ER doctor mentioned that I do have a kidney stone in my left kidney. WTH? :mad: Just a couple of weeks ago, my urologist told me that I was free and clear of stones and fragments. Now, I'm being told that I have another kidney stone? Not happy. :( I have an appointment with my urologist next Monday. We'll see what happens.

On Saturday afternoon, my DH took me out to eat at Red Lobster for Valentine's Day. He has to work all day today so he knew we wouldn't have a chance to go anywhere plus, we wanted to avoid the crowds. After lunch, we went Valentine Day shopping for the girls and just hung out for awhile. My MIL watched the girls all day so we have several hours to ourselves. It was nice. :goodvibes

Yesterday, we went to my grandparents' house to celebrate my grandfather's birthday. We had a nice time there.

Today's Plan:
* School
* Surveys
* Laundry
* WATP

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine's Day!:lovestruc :flower3:

Girl, not another one!?!? :hug: I hope the ER doctor was wrong. Hopefully you will get some answers soon. Are you feeling better though?

Sounds like you had a good weekend. Yep, we do the same thing, go out on an alternate day. I just don't enjoy the crowds either.

Happy Valentine's Day to you and I hope you all have a nice day. :goodvibes

PS - still praying for your mom.
