Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Great news about your grandma!

How did your Christmas talk go? I'm glad you reminded me about that, I have been waiting until the last minute the past few years and I hate that! Time to get moving now! :goodvibes

Thanks Lisa, Amy, and Tracy. :goodvibes

Our Christmas talk went well. We've decided what we can afford and we will stick to that no matter how many people we buy for. May take some creativity, but I know we can do it!:goodvibes

Not a whole lot going on this weekend...We've got soccer awards tomorrow and church on Sunday. That's it.

I signed up for Blastoff yesterday...It's very cool! It's a home page that you personalize with news, games, Facebook, Hulu, You Tube, e.t.c. Once you're a member, you can shop through the links on your home page and earn cash back. They have some great cash back percentages too!:thumbsup2

That's about all from here. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!:grouphug:

Sounds like you had a great day Tracy. and a very quiet weekend ahead. :goodvibes
Did grandmother get out of the hospital? Is she doing good? Praying she is.

Tracy, you are so smart to get a Christmas budget in place ahead of time. Its too easy to just start randomly shopping with no idea what that is doing to the rest of your financil life! Dave Ramsey may make you his honorary spokesperson!

So glad your grandma had her surgery and it went well. That is a huge relief I know. I am keeping her speedy recovery in my prayers. I remember how much better my grandma did with life after her pacemaker was put in. It was amazing and I hope grandma does the same!

Have a super weekend, and I did have a drink in honor of you at the pool yesterday! Did you feel my happy vibe from Sunny Southern California???;)

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

We could use your good thoughts/prayers today. Our dog, Peanut, is not doing well. On Thursday, she started walking into things. As of yesterday, she can no longer stand and is refusing to eat or drink. :sad1: She has gone downhill so fast. She was fine on Wednesday and now we are preparing our hearts to say goodbye. :sad1:

As you all know, our other dog died in April of this year. We never thought we would lose both of our furbabies in the same year. As you can well imagine, we are all devastated. :sad1: She is still with us for the moment, but my DH and I both think that's it's just a matter of time now.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Tracy
I hope your Grandma is home and well.So sorry to hear about Peanut that is always so difficult, they are a family member after all.Saying a prayer for Peanut.

Linda

I'm so sorry to hear about Peanut (cute name, by the way!). That must be really tough to deal with after losing your other dog earlier this year. I hope everyone is doing well.

Sorry to hear about your dog, Tracy. I know how rough it was for you with the other one. I will be thinking about you and the family.

The Christmas budget is a good one. I do it every year for all that we buy for and I have usually been able to stay within budget. You will be thrilled that Christmas is paid for at Christmas and not 6 months later. Last year my sister and I decided that we were not going to buy for each others older kids who are now adults, nor are we buying for any other adults. Everyone has what they need for the most part. It was the best Christmas, since there seemed to be a relief in the gift giving all the way around and a focus on the kids.

Hope the rest of your week goes better.

Thank you, ladies. :grouphug:

Quick update....Peanut is still with us. She has not had any food since Thursday and water has been very minimal. She can't really move, but she was very agitated today. We spent a good portion of the day trying to comfort her the best we could. Our girls are having a very hard time with this. The truth is that we all are. :sad1: Please continue to pray for our family. :grouphug:

My grandma is home and doing well. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers.

I will try and get to journals tomorrow. It's been such a long day here....:sad1:

Thank you, Lisa.

Peanut is still with us. She is fighting this so hard. When our other dog died in April, it was very sad, but her passing was peaceful. Peanut is fighting this tooth and nail and it is so very difficult. :sad1: We've been doing our best to make her comfortable and to spend time talking to her and petting her and telling her how much we love her. We have prayed over her and told her that it's okay to move on. We know how much she is suffering. :sad1:

As can be expected, life has come to somewhat of a stand still. The girls have been too upset to do school and my DH has purposefully set aside a lot of time this week to be with the family.

I really appreciate your thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Thank you so much, ladies. :grouphug:

Peanut passed away early this morning. :sad1: After 6 very long days, she is no longer in pain and she is finally at rest. We are really gonna miss her. :sad1:

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers.:grouphug:

Oh Tracy - i'm so sorry, at least peanut can rest in peace now & i'm sure she had a full life with your wonderful loving family, so hard for you all especially after losing your other dog only 6 mths ago.
