The Disney and More blog has a very good article about the new Toy Story Playland with some cool photos. Can't wait for this new land to open!

The giant Bizz Lightyear looks cool!

I'm getting more excited about this now:goodvibes The theming looks good and I know my DD will love it. I especially like the huge Buzz and the toy soldiers.

Do you think they need any more 3D models made? I'm pretty nifty with playdough, my ideal job:lmao:

I read this article this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Up until now I had thought this was going to look rather tacky but suspect I may have to backtrack on this.

I can't wait for the first 'real-life' reports and photos from DISers. :goodvibes

I love the theming, the different queues look great! But I'm still not quite sold on the rides.

I worry the parachute drop will be a bit much (I wont even go on Tower of Terror!) and RC Racer might also be a bit high on the motion sickness alert too. Though Slinky Dog looks fun!

Then again I worried about Cars and Crush and I've enjoyed both rides a lot! (though Cars could be a little longer?)

I may be also joining the side of those who think this is a good deal at DLP :thumbsup2

do like the look of the huge buzz - he looks excellent!!!

does look rather good, but remains to see what the height restrictions on them are - seeing as its a kids ride, im thinking that they might be 1.2m restrictions on rc race & parachutes - but want to be proved wrong (1.1m will do as ds2 will get on them then lol)

theming is looking good - i too cant wait for 'real' pictures of this!!

The soldier parachute drop is the same as jumpin jellyfish at DCA. They're very slow!

Jumpin Jellyfish has a minimum rider height of 40 inches so I'd imagine it'd be 1.1m

I'm really liking the look of the theming. It's a real shame that they didn't put a restaurant and a shop in there. It'd make the land feel more complete. I'd love a proper toy story themed restaurant themed to Andy's room with a giant mr potato head, etch-a-sketch and woody.

thanks for that! :thumbsup2 they do look slow so not a case of leaving ur stomach at the top and not reuniting til the bottom then!!!!!!!:lmao:

The theming looks good, it looks like a good place to go and take some photographs. However I still think the rides are lame, especially compared to TSM at DHS.:guilty: There is nothing spectacular about the rides.

I like the look at the new area. It all depends on what the finished product will look like but the RC coaster looks pretty good:thumbsup2

I bet my DD will want to go on the RC racer.

Looks better in the concept art than I expected it to. :thumbsup2
Will reserve judgement until I get to see it for real.

I think TSP looks like it will be an interesting area, themed very well.I know my youngest DS will just love it :lovestruc I wonder what the height restriction will be on RC Racer?

I do think the parachutes look like they will be very slow loading but as long as it is a slower drop than TOT, I'll give it a go :lmao:

wow those pics are nice looks like toystory playland is gonna be fun!
i can't wait till it opens!! :rotfl:
