We're are thinking about flying into Sanford on our next trip. We'll need a shuttle/towncar to get us to our resort. I've been researching & there is a TON to choose from. Anyone have good luck with a specific service they'd like to recommend?

I've used Tiffany Towncar in the past...worked very well. It is expensive though...around $200, plus tip!!
Have you considered renting a car??? It's an easy drive to WDW..not complicated at all.

We've used Happy Limo exclusively for several years from Sanford. A limo costs us around $180 each way which was a necessity when the whole family went because of luggage. DH and I are traveling alone next trip, so I'll just get a towncar since our luggage count is way down!

:) Tiffany is the only car service we use. I would also check in to renting a car.

The official Sanford Airport website has a list of all companies that offer transportation
I believe the OP saw that....it was mentioned that a ton of companies were listed, so did anyone have any company they recommended. It's always nice to have some recommendations.

We are flying into Sanford in 17 days!:goodvibes I just booked Orlando Chauffeured Services based on a recommendation from the Orlando BBB. We have 7 people and was able to reserve a van roundtrip for $210 plus gratuity. That included all fees, etc. This is was least expensive I could find that came BBB recommended. I will update when I get back as to how our experience was.:cool1:

We rent a car from Sanford. It's nice to have it in case you want to use it. Plus, the car rental process at that airport is really fast and easy (i.e. you can just walk over to your car, no shuttles etc.)

When we flew into Sanford in Oct, my dh and I went over to the car rental counters, while our friends waited for the bags. We got our keys, and headed back towards baggage claim....our friends were on their way to meet us!! Man, I love Sanford!!! It's such an easy airport to navigate!!! Rental cars are easy to get to, and then to return.

Thanks so much for the info. I haven't priced rental cars yet. I was afraid they'd be even more expensive. It'll just be me & my son next trip. Shouldn't need a big car. Thanks again! I always know I can look to my DIS family for advise!!

I'd definitely rent a car. Very handy if you want to go offsite for anything (groceries, beer, a day at the beach, a visit to a different theme park etc. etc.)
If you don't like driving in traffic, take the Central Florida Greenway SR-417. It's a toll road ($6-$8) but traffic is light and its a nice easy drive. If you don't mind traffic, just take I-4 straight to the WDW entrance. It's about 50-60 minutes either way depending on traffic.
The Mrs and I are flying into Sanford June 18 and returning June 29, we have a full sized car booked for the 11 days from Budget for $219 coupons and taxes in.
