there were 3 little girls about 13 years old all dressed in the same blue shirt and they all turned around to calm me down telling me

"Its OK lady....really.....its nothing.....don't worry lady
while I cried

Thank goodness I had just enough sense left in me to stop and think.... for one split moment .....
"what am I going to do if i succeed in getting out from under this bar?"
thats when I gave up.... But I cried more
and Dh talked me thru saying very calmly "we're only moving forward now"
we're only looking at eeerie things now" we're only going up now"
we're droooooppppppping now!!

Luckily I didn't show in the picture...those 3 little girls had their arms up and my head was in DH's lap

I love this attracation!! Not only the drops, which are fun, but the THEMING is great!!

My kids won't go on it again, though, unfortunately, because I want to go again and try the "penny on your knee" trick . . .

ToT is my favorite at WDW. I can ride it over and over, and I have! Never really makes me sick at all (but RnRC does, as does any ride that spins).

Not only is Tower of Terror a great ride, but its also a great ATTRACTION...

And its going to get better! Disney is currently testing a new program that has at least 4 different drop patterns, so you won't know what will happen next. There will also be some new effects, some of which are apparently linked to only certain drop sequences.

Also, the lap bars are apparently going away. Seatbelts only.

Yeah, when we went in Sept. they had replaced the whole back rows with just seatbelts so the whole back row is like the suicide seat. When we got stuck on it last time I was freaked out and then we started falling and it was the best time I ever had on ToT! It'd be cool if they did just seatbelts for the whole ride. Maybe that's one of the changes for the "new" ToT. Man, if you didn't like it before you should be lucky you didn't wait untill after January to ride it. I can't wait for that one!

Seriously though, I think everyone should ride it at least once. You never know if you're going to like it if you never ride it. And if you don't like it you never have to ride it again. I got my mom (55) on that and RnR and she had never been much of a thrill ride person but she really enjoyed herself.

Boots did it one time and has no plans to do it again! I agree with you!! I did not like it!

I'm a MAJOR thrill ride wimp, LOL! I have never ridden ToT, RnR, Spl. Mtn., Spc. Mtn., BTMRR, Body Wars, etc. Part of what I love so much about WDW is the amount of non-thrill ride attractions!

I love Roller Coasters but I HATE Tower of Terror. I don't mind the drops that go forward on the roller coasters, but I hate the straight drop. I did it when it first opened, but when they went to 3 drops, that was it for me. Now my boyfriend has to go alone.
