Touring Plans Room Request Fax

I'm glad to hear this is working reasonably well for many of y'all. Thanks very much for using it.

If you have the chance, please email hotel_photos at touringplans with a photo of the view from your room, and a description of what kind of room it is. Disney was really helpful in getting us into a lot of rooms, and gave us a (huge) list of room numbers and room types at each resort. But those things change over time, so keeping up-to-date is an ongoing thing. It helps future families get the best resort value for their money.

Thank you so much for having the service (and the dining one too). I have used both with loads of success

Good time to ask this question.
If you already have a good view from the room do you still want more? I'll admit that I haven't sent any but that's because I checked and the room I had already had a picture of the view

We'll be at SSR and I will definitely take a photo of the view and send it in. Thanks so much for all the help on your site. This is my first time subscribing to TP (subscribed back in October to help pass the time to our June trip and to help the planning obsession). We'll be back in June 2017 so I'm definitely renewing in October!

It depends. If there's no change to landscaping or decor, then no. A parking lot view at a value resort probably doesn't require a new photo. But things like landscaping changes at moderates and deluxes are valuable. Thanks!

**Update**
Here now. Just checked in this evening and did NOT get ANY of the rooms I requested for ANYONE in my party. Not only not the rooms, but we didn't even get the ground floor that I requested for a member of my party with a medical issue. I used Touring Plans to fax our requests and I called twice to follow up. I know none of this is a guarantee, but it's still disappointing.
Not to mention the CM gave me huuuge attitude when I asked about my requests. Her reply was something along the lines of, "I don't know why outside businesses tell guests they can request rooms because we do NOT have to do that and there's nothing I can do about it." :sad2:

Ah, I'm sorry to hear the fax didn't work. My guess is that specific room was already occupied.

Did you get your buttons?

I used it for the first time last year for WL. I did not get my request, but I was also upgraded from standard to a woods view w/bunk beds, but they did honour my request for higher floor (I asked for a 6th floor room, got 5th floor) and north facing.

I will add that previous years I've used online check-in and never gotten the requests I've made there, but in each case, I was able to ask again at check-in and they happily & easily accommodated. So, I don't have a ton of faith in the online check-in requests.

Sorry you did not get your rooms that you wanted. It sounds like the CM wasn't the most accommodating, but did you ask for different rooms than those they gave you when talking to the CM? Just wondering.

Used TP last year.

We got close to our requested room @ POR but not even close to what we requested at Poly.

Did you also make requests when you did your online checkin? Or did you leave it blank? I had put requests that would not conflict, like the area and ground floor, then was more specific on the fax. So that they would not conflict.

This is the method I use also.
We get our request, at least one of them, more often than not. I've never gotten a room completely opposite of our requests, thankfully. Knock on wood

Funny and I guess shows how random it can be the Poly is one of the places were we got one of the exact rooms in our TP fax request.
While I realize it could be purely coincidence I tend to think the fax helped as it was the only place where we requested a King room and we got a King room. Also facing the direction we asked for, on the floor we asked for and the building we asked for. With online check in all they knew is we wanted the building and ground floor.

Swan and Dolphin are not included in the Touring Plans room finder service so there would be no way to include them on a fax that I can tell

In this case, the request was for one specific room with no alternatives. The most likely thing that happened was someone was already checked in to that room.

I just wanted to chime in here to say I got the exact room I requested via Touring Plans when I used the fax service for our November trip. I've also had very good luck with the dining reservation finder. For me, the subscription has been well worth it!

Has anyone been successful finding connecting rooms on touring plans room views?
