I would create another trip for your second reservation. Can anyone tell me how to do room requests if you have 2 rooms reserved. It asks for the reservation number, but I have two reservation numbers. Is there a way to do this?
I need to go in and modify again because we've since switched resorts, so I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if it reverts back. For us, I've picked out probably 10-15 rooms we like, so I'm going to try to just put all those room numbers on the form. Hopefully with that many, we will get one of the ones we request.I did try that once and when I went in to look at something I noticed that it had reverted back to the default text based on the room I initially selected.
But that's not a problem for me. I am not requesting a specific room. I don't want to limit myself that way. I want a specific TYPE of room, which the default text provides.
When do you, personally, do the online check in? Are you saying you do it the night before or you just check availability for the night before whenever you do online check in? Trying to decide when it's most advantageous for us to do it.That depends on what I want most. If early check in is something that is very important I still check it. Sometimes it's still a priority over the other requests.
But, I also tend to watch the occupancy the night before we arrive. If I see they are sold out I will often leave it unchecked. If there are still rooms available, I check it (if we are arriving before 3:00)
I had read somewhere it couldn't be edited. But you've had no problems doing so? We are planning to wait a bit to do online check in anyway.I wait to check the early arrival box till closer to the trip, if it's not top priority. I just go in and edit about 2 weeks out. I realize rooms can book any time so I just use it as a guide to hope rooms are open
Correct, you can't edit selections.I had read somewhere it couldn't be edited. But you've had no problems doing so? We are planning to wait a bit to do online check in anyway.
I know that, which was why I was so hopeful about TP sending a fax rather than having to call and hope my request actually makes it to the hotel. If you call a "specific" hotel, your call actually goes through a call centre not to the WDW hotel.
Oh no...where did you hear about this? This was one of the main reason I subscribed to TP because I wanted to ensure connecting rooms for several people in my party.
Would I be better off calling?

Thanks, I know this as well but have never had a positive experience in doing so. My last 2 most recent trips were a lot of, "Oh, I don't see that on your reservation" or "oh, it must not have gotten saved or been deleted". Minor, I know. But still somewhat annoying, which is why I'd rather just try something new and fax it directly there. I did have my request of connecting rooms added to the reservation for this trip, too, but as I said, I have little faith in that at this point. Fingers crossed that TP has better luck than I have recently. When you call, the CM pulls up your reservation record while you're on the phone and types in your request. That happens whether you're calling the hotel number (and speaking with a call center) or calling the reservation line (and speaking with a call center). To my mind, it's actually a more direct way of getting the request on your reservation than sending a fax. There's no piece of paper that can get misplaced, accidentally misfiled, slide down behind the counter, etc.
Good to know!Correct, you can't edit selections.
But that means once you check a box, you can't uncheck it.
The request to make online check in top priority is separate from the room selections. You can add that anytime you want
This is what I did for our 3 reservations in May. I took out some rooms I didn't like, and the ones I left in I put first I added something like "or similar to" and left those rooms. Since we have short 1 and 2 day stays at each location I figured we'd be less likely to get our specific room request. We'll see.You actually can go in and modify it yourself though. I took out some rooms that I didn't like the view of. It actually hasn't sent yet though because my trip isn't until June so I'm assuming it will send it as I have modified it.
Good to hear.Just a quick update: I found an email for TP and emailed about the status of my fax requests as I never heard anything and my trip is in a few short days. After an initial reply that was incorrect, the issue was resolved and the requests for all of the reservations I'm managing had been successfully faxed. Phew!
I do not subscribe to touring plans but I used their room view thing to pick my rooms and get the room "codes" and did my own fax based on their example. We got exactly what we wanted. Here is ours, modified for privacy and with a little more formatting than allowed here haha![]()
Thank you!!
