Top of the World lounge open?

Sounds like a paid experience to me. Like the dinner fireworks package they had before the virus.

While I'd be disappointed to see it go that way, I recall the reviews of the event they held up there was quite the spread. I wouldn't mind paying if they are really going to deliver on the food & drinks. On previous visits my group ran up a pretty big tab on some very mediocre offerings (appetizers.)

Probably no need to do that...If and when TOTWL ever opens again, it'll be BIG news. But like you, I've been tempted to pose this question many times myself. It's super frustrating that they haven't explained what's going to happen with that space at this point.

DH said he wants to stay a few nights @ BLT if the lounge is open. I googled it and it says it opens @ 6pm today. Also, it is listed on members services page as "temporarily unavailable". Those statements contradict themselves, I know....

Is the lounge open to anyone now?

No, the lounge is not currently open to anyone.

Info in those Google info boxes is basically crowdsourced. You're welcome to suggest an edit to the operating hours, reflecting that it's closed. Many probably have; google just hasn't elected to update.

I'd be suspicious that they weren't talking about the TOTWL, since it's in BLT, not in the CR. And I agree with @tjkraz, information on google is not always the most accurate. If TOTWL had reopened on any sort of schedule, the news would be all over all the DVC social media sites, including this one.

Above and beyond that, they would want it known. No one coming = no revenue to pay for the staff opening it.
