Top of the World lounge open?

Well FYI as of 2 weeks ago there are not any plans to reopen it yet(I have a source). I have never been in it but look forward to it in 2022.

As long as it doesn't pull anything from dues it could be made blue card only. Have it open all the time, run special events, and maybe yes, subsidized by DVD. If they were barely breaking even as it was then a bit of a subsidy could make it more viable. If there is no return of moonlight magic events (I hope there is) then there could potentially be marketing funds available for something like this.
Yeah, that was sort of my point. When open to all DVC, it's been borderline on P&L. If they started filtering out potential buyers of the drinks, the P&L flirtation might crash out. Thus why I was thinking that Blue Card only would demand subsidy.

It's probably added complexity in that it's a commercial space that is run by someone on the dining side who has a P&L to hit.

Top of the World is my favorite place in all of WDW. We have so many great memories and made so many great DVC friends up in that lounge. We usually have a couple nights where we are the first people there and the last people out. If they made it Blue card only I would be so upset being a white card. I'd rather be a hard ticket area than a blue card. Hopefully it's open in March for our next big family trip.

I predict an announcement at the condo meeting in Dec. Reopen early next year but blue card only. Gives them another selling point for direct. Just a guess of course but could line up with digital member cards especially if only blue card get a digital card.

I think that’s a problem because the space was declared into BLT ownership.

Google is saying that the lounge is open today from 6:00 p.m. until midnight.
Has anybody on site seen any evidence of this?

Unfortunately I don't think Google is up to date on this. If you trace back their source it is as of 2019.

Please don't take this away from me. It's my favorite place in all of WDW. If they take it away from me with the state of the parks, I don't see a reason to go back. I get they have to take everything away and up charge it but come on.

OK, what is P&L?

I’m sorry to report all the closed signs were still up at the front desk and elevators last night.

Just got home from a weekend staying in a LV studio on the 16th floor (north wing). Had a great view overlooking the pool and lake... but those locked doors leading out towards the observation deck taunted me every night.

I may have misheard but during the live show tonight I though Pete said that he knew what was coming. He wouldn't say what or when but it sounded positive.

Sounds like a paid experience to me. Like the dinner fireworks package they had before the virus.
