Top 3 Best and Worst meals at WDW?

Best: CRT for dinner, Kona Cafe for dinner and Crystal Palace for Lunch
Worst: haven't had a bad one yet.

Don't know if I can pick 3 worst. We honestly didn't have a TS meal we thought was bad. I guess I'll go with the 3 we enjoyed the most and the 3 we enjoyed the least (but not saying they are bad!)

Best: Brown Derby, Marrakesh, and Kona Cafe (1st dinner)

Worst: Rose & Crown, CRT, and Kona Cafe (2nd dinner)

1- 1900 park fare dinner (characters and food were great!)
2- whuspering canyon - food was average, but the atmosphere was so fun
3- crystal palace breakfast -great food and good character interaction

3 worst
1- San Angel- was always a favorite, but last time the food wasn't that great and the service was horrible
2- Cape May clam bake - food was bland at best....decent selection, but nothing to write home about
3- i can't think of one

Bottom: Mama Melrose's (I don't like Italian food, but dh does and wasn't thrilled with it........too loud and crowded, great service), Liberty Tree Tavern (fun characters, yucky food, bad service), and Whispering Canyon Cafe (bad service, just okay food, no fun.....wouldn't even allow my son to TOUCH a stick horse, let alone ride one)

I blew that theory, sorry. It's on my bottom three. We were so disappointed. Had been going for 10 years, and never got around to trying Spoodles.

Spoodles was undefeated until you posted!!! After reading this whole post I now have no idea which (if any) place is better or worse. I am baffled how every spot can fall in someone's top three and another's bottom 3. Fascinating!!

i think from reading all of the different best and worst resturants i can see that some people are picky on noise(its disney) for dont like crowds(it's disney) and some dont like the food (that's america) i know that some of us out there hate some food from the get go.(you know the stuff gramdma made you eat ) this is one reason why disney is disney. you cant keep 25,000,000 people happy all of the time every year. keep up all of the great and bad resturants.

Our favorite places were:

Whispering Canyon Cafe (breakfast and dinner) - we thought the food was really good.
O'Hana's (dinner) - the food was really good (this is before the menu change -we ate there in August)

Prime Time Cafe - I thought the food was good.

The bottom of the list:

Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) - we wanted to sit down to a relaxing lunch since it was so hot. We never saw our server once our food hit the table. My husband said the potroast was "eh" - he didn't like it. My kids didn't touch the macaroni and cheese as it was way overcooked. Forget about my turkey panini - it was one lousy piece of lunchmeat that was cold and very bad-tasting. As I mentioned, our server never showed up again after dropping the food and leaving.
O'Hana's (breakfast) - food was stone cold. We asked for fresh food, and half the food was hot (microwave hot), and the other half was rubber. Not very nice to do when you're paying a ton of cash for a breakfast.
Biergarten's (Dinner) - although I love the atmosphere, the quality of the food went downhill since the last time we were there (2 years ago).


Sadly, in just about every instance, (except the fast-food lunches), I felt that the quality of the food declined. Our original "favorites" disappointed us. The service has taken a nose-dive (at least while we were there). The prices keep going up, up, up - and the quality of the meal isn't where it used to be. We spent about $800 in mediocre food this past trip. I was extremely disappointed! But, again, that's just my opinion!!!

Best:
1. 'Ohana - but declining in our opinion over 3 visits. We had a couple really good meals here, last time in Dec '04 was least appealing.
2. Boma
3. Crystal Palace - Good character interaction, been a while though.

Worst:
1. Whispering Canyon - won't be back. Food was bad, ribs probably worst I have ever tried to eat... emphasis on TRIED.
2. Liberty Tree Tavern - over anticipated this one... TV dinner.
3. Rainforest Cafe - Wow was it bad and the price made me sick considering the quality of food!

Hope to try Artist Point on the next trip. Hopefully I can add that to my Best List.

As far as dislikes others like them so I guess it probably me.

I'm not crazy about the restaurants at Disney's MGM. Most are fast food places and even the sit down ones are a hit or miss. I think if you watch what you order here you'll be OK.

There are a few Character meals I also enjoy 1900 Park Fare and Crystal Palace.

I think most of the sit down restaurants in Epcot are very expensive and the quality is not that great. There again it's a hit or miss experience. Sometimes you get a great meal other times the food is so so.

I've yet to have a bad meal at Animal Kingdom.

Best:

1. Olivia's at Old Key West - conch chowder is awesome, get a bowl
2. Chef Mickey's - kids would disown me if I didn't mention this
3. Victoria and Alberts - expensive but top shelf in every respect

Worst:

1. Boma - we are not authentic ethnic food eaters
2. Rain Forest - 2 hour wait for table, bad service, crabby waiter, cold food, expensive, other than that it was great
3. O'hanas - doesn't really belong here but landed here because of what they did with the new menu, previously was easily on the best list, after our last visit with the new menu we probably will not go back, it is not horrible but not worth the price AND, more importantly, we compare it to what it was

Top 3:
1. O'Hana - even with the menu changes I thought it was still great, maybe even better. Dessert was awesome.
2. Cinderella's Royal Table - One of the best Prime Ribs I have ever had. Kind of a romantic setting too, nice for our honeymoon.
3. Boma - Very fun and lots of intersting flavors. Tried it on different nights and breakfast to get different items to taste.

Plenty of other great places to eat as well.

Worst:
1. Tony's Town Square - Absolutely the worst spaghetti I have ever had. No flavor. For a place that is "famous for it's spaghetti and meatballs" it was aweful. Also, at $18.99 a plate it was by far over priced. Eat a can of chef boy r dee and count your self lucky.
2. Rainforest Cafe - Don't really count this as a Disney restaurant but it is on property so I will list it. Very over priced and not that tasty. The service has usually been bad when we went. The one at AK was the worst as far as service goes.
3. Rose and Crown - Not absolutely horrible but the food is kinda bland for my taste.

Our top 3 were Le cellier, Yachtsman, 1900 Park Fare dinner CS: Land seasons food fair in epcot and tusker house

Bottam 3 were LTT dinner, Captn Jacks, Pinochio village haus cs

One of the best meals I've ever had - not just at WDW but anywhere - was at Portobello Yacht Club. This was in the early 1990s. I haven't eaten at this restaurant in years, but I know the menu has changed many times since then, so I don't even know how good the food there is anymore. I had the four-cheese pizza as an appetizer and a veal dish as my entree. (I know that veal dish hasn't been on the menu in many years). It was so good that I was literally high afterwards. There's only one other meal I've ever had (in Rome) that had that effect on me.

It's interesting to see what mixed reviews Rainforest Cafe elicits. My experiences there have generally been good. There have been times when the service has been slow, but the food has always been good.

I have liked most places I've had a meal at but here are three my family tries to go to every trip.

Hoop-Dee-Doo -I know this gets mixed reviews and to be honest my sister is not a fan of the food here(she's the definition of a picky eater). But we all enjoy the show so much that we go every year. It's one of those cases where the show makes it worth it.

Prime Time Cafe-I feel like I've never ordered the same meal at this place. Not because the things I try aren't good but because there seems to be a good variety of things. Plus I love the wacky waiter staff and the old tv shows they play.

Beaches and Cream-We ate there twice on our trip to Disney in December and we weren't even staying at the resort. My mom's absolute favorite and it's pretty high on my list too. I love a good burger and milk shake. Plus the whole theme of the place just makes me smile.

I will mention that we tried Boma and the Luau for the first time last trip. I picked out Boma and was worried that my picky sister would kill me for that pick. But they had enough bland things that she could eat. (I think chicken fingers, fries and mac n cheese.) I got to try some crazier dishes(we were on the meal plan so I promised myself I'd try new foods.) and they had great dessert. As for the Luau...I didn't want to do this because it meant no Hoop-Dee-Doo (my parents weren't willing to use up 4 credits for two meals.) But the food was good. (My parents and brother loved it. My sister and I delt with it.) The dessert was amazing and the show made it all worth it.

The one place I'll try to never eat again is Biergarten's mostly because that type of food doesn't do it for me. But the atmosphere was fun and it was something different to try.
