I lived at Chatham and it was fully furnished. I went out and bought a corner desk on the first day I was there. There is a counter in the dinning room, but it can only fit 2 desktops on it. As far as a list of things to bring down there, I guess it all depends on the person. I drove down there with my friend and really only brought clothes and a TV. High recommend a TV. You can always throw in with your roommates and buy one when you get there. Ask around once you get there, people that are leaving practically give stuff away. Other then that just worry about going down with money and clothes. You are going to be there for quite a few months so you can just add to your apartment as you go.
If you can, bring your CAR. Taking the buses will make you waste hours just getting to and from work. Dress clothes for the first couple of days. Business casual, shirt, tie, nice shoes.
Like I said, don't stress about it to much. I found it a lot easier to buy groceries with your roommate. People that purchased their own stuff always seemed to be upset that someone was eating/using their things. I can't suggest enough, make friends with your roommates and share. It will make your stay so much better. I was there in a 6 person apartment and it was never a issue.
