Took Survey; Do You Agree?; What Would You Add?

Made 2 resort ressies on WDW site today. Survey popped up. I took it. Here's what I said. Do you agree? What would you add? If you agree, & you get the survey, please submit the same change requests on your survey.

The survey was about making resort & dining reservations on WDW website (I'll post the dining issues on the restaurant board).

If any of the items I requested below are incorrect, please let me know. Maybe these options are on their website & I just don't know it - but would like to know it!

In the survey comments sections, I wrote -
1. Want to be able to cancel a resort ressie online rather than must call.

2. Want to be able to change my resort ressie online. Currently what I do is grab what comes up so I won't lose it. Then I call & cancel the original ressie. I want to be able to add or subtract some nites, change the resort, & change the dates.

3. Want to be able to input room requests - room location preference, no connecting doors, etc. Others on this board have said this is available, but I have never seen it - not when I reserve & not when I online checkin. I always make these requests via phone when I call & make final payment. I've been told by the rep that these requests must be made by phone.

4. I want to be able to make the final full payment online rather than being required to call.

5. When I input the www.disneyworld.com web address in the address bar, I auto get a screen for making a reservation - shows the last ressie search request I made - shows dates, # people, & it's with the free ddp special offer. This happens even when I sign-out before leaving the site. I want to access the Disney World home page & start over because just like today, I just made 2 more ressies that don't qualify for free ddp. Maybe this is my puter, but it happens even when I delete my cookies & internet history.

That's my 2 cents worth. I'll finish on the restaurant board.
 
i actually do agree w/being able to make changes online..that would definitely be a wonderful convenience.
about the online payment options, i've always been able to access my ressie and make ALL my payments online w/o ever having to call and deal w/it over the phone.
and yes, the option to add requests to the online check-in was a nice option. i'm a little bummed that it's no longer offered.
 
I've made payments online. I think if you have a MYW package you can make them, but for some reason you can't on room only reservations.

I would like to be able to enter Magical Express info. You definitely have to call for that.

I would like the receipts that you get to be better coordinated with online and phone payments. Those blue resort reservations receipts are archaic!
 
Thanks, Vidia1975. Maybe you just taught me something???? So I can make the final balance due payment online instead of calling?
 

if you go onto disneyworld.disney.go and select "my disney vacation (it's got the orange suitcase next to it under Parks & Tickets), you should be able to enter to your acct info and bring up your ressie. once you get to that screen you should be able to click on "view details" under your ressie info and make a payment through that link. that's how i did it and i only have room and dining through disney. idk if that counts as a full package or not but i was able to do that. I've had some issues with the online payment system this trip. I made a large payment online and had my confirmation page printed and kept waiting for the payment to show up at my bank and on my reservations page. After several days I called and they said the payment had never hit and I had to do it again over the phone.

Then, I made another payment and got the screen that said my CC info was not valid. I figured I had made a mistake entering the # and so reentered. I wasn't paying attention and after the payment went through noticed that when it came back with the error the amount changed from what I wanted to pay to the full amount due. Well, no way was I ready for that to hit. I called and guest services got involved and I got a refund of everything except the amount I had intended to pay but it was several days before that hit.

My fault for not checking everything again and they were wonderful in assisting me but I have decided to do everything over the phone for the rest of this trip.
