too early to rent points for Dec. 2005?

I am interested in renting points for 2 studio rooms during Dec 24-Dec 29/30. I need two rooms they need not be rented from same person but would like to stay on same property. Anyone out there with advice or can help direct me. Thanks!

Very busy time of year! Members can not make reservations for that time period until 11 months out or Jan 30th. It will not be easy to get these points for that week.

It will be very easy to get points. You will have lots of people willing to rent them to you. You have the right idea to start looking early. Go to the rent trade board and read it often. Around December of this year post your request. Someone will respond with an offer. Go with a person you feel comfortable with. I'd suggest reading lots of his/her past posts to make sure they know what they are doing and to get to know her/him.

Have fun planning. You won't have any problems. Make sure you are ready to have the person make the reservations right at 11 months.

For such a high demand time you should start now to find someone who you can work with. Get comfortable with that person and get the specifics ironed out so they can get your reservations when the time comes. They may require a deposit to hold the points for you. Most often this transaction will be non refundable but you should discuss with the DVC member you decide to work with so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you know where you want to stay,yet (or does it matter)? That would be helpful info to post over on the Rent/Trade board. That way, folks with the same home resort will know to respond to your post.
As was mentioned previously, you will want to get the reservation at the 11month window. You may find someone who would be willing to call day by day to get the desired reservation for you...
