to wait or not to wait .. that is the question

Guide me oh wise ones. I am leaving Norfolk Virginia on Oct 7th and driving to the MAGICAL Orlando Florida.

I do not trust ole betsy my 2002 Ford Escape with 115k MILES on her ... so, I am needing to rent something and with my 9 yr old daughter and her 9 yr old bff and her mother coming, I was thinking MINI VAN or small suv.

I need the best bang for my buck especially with the consideration of gas these days.

Question: should I book now if I find a decent rate, or should I wait until mid to end September to worry about it.?.

I would book one now at a rate you are comfortable with. I would then continue to watch rates. It is very easy to cancel if you find a better rate. Have a nice trip!

I'm no help on rates and suggestions, but I just wanted to say I'll be leaving Hampton Roads for the same drive down 95 with you on the 7th! (and now I'm singing "It's a Small World")
