I hear ya. Last year's "no" email subject line was something like, "You are one of the few that made it this far." Talk about thinking you had made it!

Holy Cow! I made it to Round 3!!!! I had to reread the email, because last year the no email was so confusing! The subject title was "Wow! That's What We Said!"

I am so sorry for those who got the no email. Trust me, I know what it feels like.

Sorry it took me so long to post. I was out for a run when the emails came out.

Thank you for the good wishes!! I really hope no one feels like a loser. I remember the same sad feelings last year, and the year before that, and the year before that.....You just can't take it personally. Every one of us has something special. So now you remember these words if I don't make the panel, so you can give me a pep talk, too.

Here's the email for those that are curious:

On behalf of Disney Destinations, LLC, I would like to congratulate you on making it to the final phase of the selection process for the 2013 Walt Disney World® Moms Panel!

As you know, we received thousands of applications, and you are among the top candidates whose knowledge of - and passion for - Walt Disney World® Resort continues to make a lasting impression on us. Your knowledge and willingness to share the Disney magic is inspirational!Once again, we truly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to complete the previous stages of the Walt Disney World Moms Panel application process.

For this final phase, we are asking that you participate in a phone interview with Walt Disney World representatives. Your phone interview will be scheduled for a certain time next week between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The phone interview will be a mandatory requirement for final consideration as a Walt Disney World Moms Panel member.

You will receive an email in the next few days from a Disney representative asking for your contact information (including phone and home address) in order to schedule your interview.

Once all phone interviews are completed, the judges will be making final selections. You will receive notification via phone on or about November 16, 2012.

As a reminder, please continue to save the dates of December 7 – 11, 2012 for training at Walt Disney World Resort, should you be selected to serve on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. All finalists must be able to attend this important training session.

Ok, at risk of totally freaking you out, when I had that weird MP dream where only 1 person made it to R3 from the DIS, and everyone else was on a different board and had fancy videos...you were the one who made it. I'm really shocked because I thought your essays were so creative and well written!

I'm at a loss as to what it is they want. I'd love to see videos and essays from those who did make it. After three years of this, it is much easier this time around, mostly because I was obsessive about not getting my hopes up, after the last two R2 rejections made me cry.

I'll continue applying until I either die or they tell me to stop. Maybe eventually they'll let me through just so they don't have to keep seeing my videos year after year

I've stayed low key this year because after getting the "not this year" phone call after round 3 last year, I was completely devastated. I can understand how you are feeling after applying every single year and then getting so close, it is heart breaking. Every person on this board exudes Disney passion and you guys are a great group of folks, don't let this discourage you!! Only the people in that room know what they were looking for and I'm sure maybe that can change from year to year. Don't try to hold it in, just have yourself a good cry, run or whatever you need to do, but this doesn't diminish your passion for Disney. Next year we will all dust ourselves off and do it all over again.

I feel the same way. I wish I knew what it was in my video and essays that made them say "nah, she doesn't have it". (them laughing at me cuz I suck)

I am going to have to think long and hard as to whether or not I want to go through this again, for the 6th time.

(I say that now, but I'll still do it next year. I must have a weird need for rejection and disappointment.)
