I want you to somehow make the next 103 days fly by!!!

try having to wait over 400 days Ann. its way tooooooo long

Been there ,done that, several times over :)
But do remember all good things come to those who wait!
You will have the time of your life! Unfortuneatly you will also be stricken with an addiction that is more expensive than crack cocaine.... I am a DCL junkie...luckilly.,. instead of ruining families, this addiction brings them closer together-albeit poorer..
a wise man (BD I believe it was) once said ( I am paraphrasing here) that riches are not the trinkets scattered in your home but the bonds with your family. I probably didn't phrase it right (he is the poet) but anyhow you get my point.

I do belive that many from DCL do read these boards so I'll use the thread to say a few things:

1) Thank you for finding the best of the best when it comes to your personnel. From the Captain and his steering committee to everyone who works behind the scenes that we don't see DCL is a class act. I have been on a number of other lines and no one does it like Disney!

2) Thank you for listening to what people say and changing things around a little (new shows, new ports). You've done a great job of keeping what works and for finding new things for those of us who are repeat cruisers.

3) Please enforce the dress code for dinner. It would make life easier for everyone if the suggested dress code is enforced. You might make a few people unhappy if they are turned away because they are not dressed right, but you will make many more people happy (and we know they won't go hungry on DCL).

4) Last, but not least, when you are going to sign the papers on that 3rd ship and give us a route to Alaska?

Thanks for reading.

1. Keep hiring outstanding staff in all areas.....this summer's staff was better and more experienced than last summer's staff!

2. Keep developing outstanding programming in all areas of the ship.

3. Ask your comedians to have more than one act for cruisers who sail annually!

4. Keep bringing in new acts (bands, entertainers) so each can offer their own unique talents.

5. Keep developing excellent excursions while eliminating overpriced ones which don't live up to their descriptions.

6. Talk to your Guest Services. Depending on the problem, they went from excellent to fair in helping passenger's with their complaints.

7. Allow passengers to cancel or change excursions if they are not satisfied with them.

8. Please develop another cruise to the Mediterranean, the West Coast or Alaska!!!

Thx!

Keep up the great work!!
Oh one request PLEASE PLEASE rethink your strategy and put Golden Mickeys on The Magic by November. 3 or 4 night is just to short for us.

Hi DCL,

1) KEEP FIDELIO!!

2) Upgrade Barb and Tony to the Walt Disney Suite

3) Somehow, someway please make the stay at Castaway Cay longer. It's too short.

4) Make known the dining rotation 60 days in advance, and let guests make Palo and Spa ressies the same way they can with the shore excursions. You can do the same thing with Oceaneer clubs. The beepers can then be handed during check-in at the port.

5) Make Nate Page an honorary Cast Member

Thanks for listening
Ursula

Please find a way to keep Fidelio on the MAGIC!!!

Not only do we want Fidelio on the Magic - BUT we also want DUELING PIANOS with Fidelio and Anton on the Magic.

What other adult entertainment do you have for us? There isn't anything we want except to have our Dueling Pianos with Fidelio kept at OffBeats!

Considering how popular the shows are with all ages - kids, adults and seniors - the move to eliminate Dueling Pianos is NOT a good one.

Rae

1) More Castaway Cay - PLEASE! Two days minimum - even on the 4-nt WONDER.

2) (Bigger) Ship to Alaska

3) I also like the 'enforcing the dress code' request. I never had too much trouble with this one but also don't want to. After reading some of the posts, there have been some grotesque instances, it appears. That goes for the beaches, too!

4) Keep up with the great work on keeping the ship so "ship-shape". It's beautiful.

5) Would like to see some 'Disney-clean' comedy acts back. We sailed on one of the first Magic cruises & there were terrific shows in the clubs.

6) Continue providing an atmosphere that makes us feel safe & our trip 'magical' - even when our kids are in the clubs.

Thank you!

my requests:

1) Find a fair way to pre-schedule Palos and the spa. It's totally stressful to we Type A's to have to get there early and worry, worry, worry. I'm 8 weeks out and having nightmares (honestly).

2) Publish the lifeboat drill locations for each room, just as a nice thing to have

3) More ships, more ports, and possibly more 10 day cruise options

And for equal time, my thanks

1) Outstanding family vacation environment - THANK YOU

2) Offering solid childcare options so we feel comfortable about attending adult activities - THANK YOU

3) For family-sized staterooms. Even a Category 9 has plenty of room for a family of 4 and MUCH more than other cruise lines - THANK YOU

Dueling Pianos back at OFFBEATS!

Fidelio rocks!

Rae

My only request is to make soda free everywhere. It would make things easier.

I think that it would be fair to say that when a person books a cruise, they should be entitled to make their Palo and Spa reservations at the same time. After all, we all pay a reservation fee of $250/person and while Disney "holds" our money, that should entitle us to something.

Rae

I am also a chronic planner and would like to be able to schedule Palo and spa treatments from home so I own't have to go through the ressie race. I worry too much :( The thought of dragging my kids running through the ship when they would rather stop and explore is unsettling.

Thanks for wonderful service I keep reading about here at disboards and other boards dedicated to Disney.
I have not experienced it firsthand but look forward to our first cruise next year:earsgirl:

~Debbie~:)

My husband would love it if we didn't have to be one of the first on line since I'm such a compulsive planner! How about letting us make spa and Palo reservations at least 7 days in advance, or even 60 days out just like you can at disney World.

Oh I really agree......I am on the 10/11 cruise and I am stressing over the fact that as soon as I get on the ship I have to run to the spa & Palo's. I would love it also if we were able to make those ressies early. I love the idea of making our dinning rotation available so we could do that.

I just can't wait for our first DC. I have been saving for a long time for this. I am really excited:bounce: .

Thank you in advance for making our trip special. I have read so many posts and they all say what outstanding service is on the ship!!!

Hope

I think I'll have to play devil's advocate here...

Allowing Palo and spa ressies via internet or phone in advance sounds good in theory, but I suspect it would only shift the issue rather than resolve it. You can call for ressies to Cindy's at WDW or for the Illuniminations cruises, but it is just as stressful because you have to be on the phone right on the dot the morning the ressies open or you won't get them. I suspect that the same would be true of the most popular Palo days and spa treatments. It won't stop people from being compulsive planners...it will just shift their compulsiveness to start a little early. I know because I am a compulsive planner, too, and I've tried for a few Royal Table and Illuminations cruise ressies in my day! And even though the excursion ressies can be made in advance, there are still complaints about sold-outs. The only real solution would be for a major expansion of both Palo and the spa...maybe on the new ship when it becomes reality someday.
