To all the Vera Bradley enablers

I am looking for something to put all my business cards in that I carry and the store reward cards. It seems like I have a ton. My case I have now is getting to small. I was thinking about getting a coin purse to use for this purpose. Anyone have it and think it would work?

I am still decided on mini or regular hipster for my WDW trip?

I don't want to brag - but I'm from Ft Wayne, IN - home of VB! I went to the outlet sale in the spring and just found out they are having another outlet sale here in October. I love the hipster and the mini-hipster. I have a friend who will be going to the sale with me in Oct and plan to buy more. I'm not telling my husband until I come home with the goods! If any of you ever get a chance to come to the outlet sale don't pass it up, its fabulous. But be prepared to stand in line for an hour or more to check out. Well worth it for the prices.

I love the VB clip id case ... it can hold quite a few cards and has a clear plastic window to display one card.
I bought the regular Hipster, would love a mini. Really depends on what you're planning on carrying into the park. In the regular Hipster I can fit my change purse, id case, camera, cell phone, iPod, check book, and a bunch of other small odds-and-ends. It really is roomy.

Imagine living in the same city as where they make the things.........great thing is I can find old prints at the local goodwill stores here but, even those aren't cheap.

Hi, I'm new on this thread but couldn't resist the Vera Bradley posts. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is much difference between the newly designed hipster and the previous one. I thought I read somewhere that the new one is wider and roomier. Does anyone know if this is true? Want to buy one for my upcoming trip but want the roomiest one even though I love pink elephants(have the duffel). Thanks.

I love VB - 2 diaper bags and a tote bag that I also use as a diaperbag/purse. I bought my first for a trip to WDW and it worked out great - have never looked at another diaper bag/purse brand in almost 2 years!

The bags are so cute. I really like the Little Betsy, it's such a perfect everyday size. But I'm thinking of getting the new hipster. I guess I'll find a store that sells them and take a look.

Yes, the new Hipster's are a little larger than the old one. I wish I could trade my old ones for the new ones. They also have a pocket on the front which adds a little more room. If you don't carry a bottle of water with you the Hipster will be perfect! I wish it came in the little pink elephants too.

My new favorite bag is the Morgan and I love Cafe Latte. It is more of a pretty color than a fun one, but I really like it.

I like the caffe latte too but I think it's more of a winter color. I wanted something a little more lively to take to Florida. I actually do carry a water bottle but it's the small (pint size?) Poland Spring bottle so I hope it will fit in the hipster. The other color I like, among all the others lol, is the Nantucket navy. I just bought one off Ebay and it's brand new and so perfect to wear with jeans or just anything casual. Oh and I just bought the coin purse to go with it. I really need to stop but they are so cute you kind of want all the colors that are appealing to you. Speaking of colors, does anyone know when the new colors come out?

you could try selling your old ones on Ebay if they are in really good condition. People buy the used ones because they like the retired colors or can't find the colors they like.

Oh, they aren't old. I did the same thing, I bought the colors they are retiring in the Hipster. Then the new Hipster came out and I like it better. But I love Botanical and pink elephants and the Capri Blue print that are all retiring so I'll just have to have those in the old Hipster. Buy you are going to love the new Hipster. I like Raspberry Fizz and the new red, I think it is Frankly Scarlet. And yes, the bottle of water will fit fine in the new Hipster. We carry 2 frozen bottles and at least one cold bottle so I carry a little bag that has the mesh pockets on each end.

My other new thing in VB is the All in One Wristlet. It is great for just cards and cash. Only problem is you just have to have one to match your purse. Talk about smart. The ladies that dreamed VB up really hit gold.

Just saw this thread and had to add my 2 cents in as well. I LOVE VB and have bought a lot this summer from ebags and ebay. Ebay has some great deals on new ones, just know your prices.

I also have a cashback Discover card that lets you cash out for gift cards. I got "double points" for Crabtree and Evelyn" which sells VB in the stores (not online) so for 40 Discover pts. I got an $80 GC which I am going to use for a large duffle (I think in Raspberry Fizz) to use as my carry on for my Sept. trip. But all of my makeup and toiletry bags are Capri Melon, so I'm going to have to resist temptation to buy new ones in Raspberry Fizz!

I also have a mini hipster and love it (Capri Blue). This is a bad addiction, and now all those Coach bags just sit in their dust covers....

OMG my poor little Coach bags! I guess I'll take them out when it starts getting cold out but I got used to carrying these light weight VB bags that it will be hard to go back, but I will!
I just came from looking at the new hipster. They are really nice but I can't decide which color to get but I did buy a rasp. fizz towel that was on sale for $20. The problem is that I like the older colors better but I need the bigger hipster. Oh well, not going to Disney until the beginning of Nov. so I do have time to figure it out. And yes those VB ladies were smart having all the accessories. I think I'm going to get the tech case for my raspberry fizz tic tac tote. I love that bag but I hate that it doesn't zip across the top. My cell phone fell out the other day and dropped on the floor...glad I didn't lose it.

oh you guys are such enablers! I just found this thread and have been shopping online for Vera Bradley bags all night tonight!!!

I found this site that sorts out all the Vera Bradley ebay auctions by line, has anyone else used it? I ordered a Vera Bradley Black Microfiber Commuter Bag for myself (yes I know I am boring!! and Vera Bradley Caffe Latte Bowler for my Mom for her birthday.

I also found a cargo sling/cool keeper lot on the Vera Bradley Raspberry Fizz page that I was thinking of getting for when we're in Orlando in December (sadly, no WDW this time, we're going to SeaWorld and possibly Blizzard Beach if it's warm enough before a week on the Disney Magic). My husband usually carries our camera case so I figure if I can carry a couple bottle waters and snacks and sweatshirts, room keys wallet etc in the cargo bag I should be all set.

Has anyone tried washing the microfiber, does it still stay nice like the cotton lines? Or do you just need to wash the outside with a damp rag?

I never used the site but thanks, I'll look at it! I don't know why it doesn't come up in your message but when I did a quote to respond to you I found it right there in your original message. I don't own any microfiber but go on the VB website and you can write to them and ask. I'm surprised there wasn't a card in your bag when you bought it telling you had to clean it. We are going on the Magic also but on the Western cruise in Nov. Can't wait.
