Man, I should be the better person and just walk away. I don't know why I'm the big baddie on the transportation thread, maybe its the way I "talk". I keep getting snarky unnecessary responses from people. It really peeves me.
I don't like being spoken down to and I don't like having to defend myself. I am not going to back down from meatheads. I'm probably taking this way too much to heart, but darn if I'm not steaming right now.
Grr....![]()
Our dates we'll be at WDW may be changing because I cannot get decent airfare flying out on Friday or Sat. (times are very bad too.) Anyway, we may be leaving a day later and possibly staying til Sunday.I have about 12 days before my ADR window opens and I don't have a clue as to what/where to go for meals.I am one of those people that don't know what they want to eat until they are hungry and it drives DH nutz.
We think we may do DDP for a change and just eat Breakfast/snacks at the Villa. Not knowing if Free Dining is such a great time to test this out though. Does it make a difference if the reservation is OOP or DDP?
We are at the Boardwalk so I figure Epcot TS are good but we can go anywhere really. I've never been to DTD ever.
DD wants to eat at LTT once and I would like to try for Cali once. Any other suggestion? We went to WhisperCanyon (meh) last Christmas Eve but maybe Cali this year?
We've been to LeCeiler before for lunch and it was good but maybe a dinner would be too?
What are some of ya'lls favorites? Is Beirgarten good? We have Hopper passes and can go to any park fairly easily. What about the place in Japan, is it fun?
We'd might like to try the new place on the Boardwalk since DD loves Greek and you know how DH and I feel about wine.if anyone goes first let me know.
What about the Park Fair(?) at the GF for dinner?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.I will know more about what parks I will be in if that would help in ya'll giving advice.
LITC.... He is adorable!!!!!Hello TKers! Have a little surprise for you all!!Walter Frank decided to join us early, Friday September 4, 2009 at 10:49pm. He weighed in at 8 pounds 1 ounce and is 20 inches long. He was 4 weeks early, but a wonderful surprise. He is gorgeous and perfect and I am in love! Will try to start stopping in more, but we will see how tired I am!!
Mmmm...now that sounds like my kind of place. I too love the meat/potatoes kind of meals. Especially a good steak. DH loves Italian food or any pasta dish. Funny thing when we go out is the waiter will always give me his food as he assumes my DH ordered the huge steak. My husband's favorite place to eat is Ohana's. He's a meat and potatoes kind of guy and any place that brings skewers of meat to your table is a hit with him.
Will be praying for him as he continues to go through this ordeal.Nephew just called. Just got out of grand jury something. Went well, they're going for the trial. Should start sometime in December. Didn't have to face the crazy roommate. Very good.
Hi Little Walter...great name for a guy who lives in a castle!![]()
I'm beginning to realize 60 isn't old either...at least that's what I told myself all day the day I turned 59!
I thought you had to kill 1 thread a month!
My point of view---What did they do to deserve a wonderful, caring person like YOU?
What a nice BF!!!Bless his heart. I love my BF. I sent him to the Disney store to try to pick up some Halloween trick or treat bags. They were sold out but the nice CM told him to go to some party store that sells them. He just called and asked "Mickey or Tinkerbell?". He bought me two Mickeys!
Did I tell you guys that this will be my first trick or treat experience?
Thanks Kerrie! I really needed that.
How are you and the kids doing?
BKMETV, it sounds like you came away from the birthday BBQ in better shape than DH.... unless you are the one you were talking about not feeling very well today.
So you have a Golden Retriever? I always wanted one but we ended up going with DH's choice of a German Shepherd because he thought it would be the most protective of the kids. Are Goldens very protective? DH has promised DD a puppy for her birthday next year so we are debating which breed. I imagine it will be another Shepherd but I wouldn't mind going with something smaller and with less hair. Our Tessie is long haired and I have to empty the vacuum twice every time I vacuum. I was so looking forward to the day of a hair free house and then DH had to come up with this idea. Too bad she won't just settle for a guinea pig or something small.
Ok...my ADRs are finally done! We are not staying on-site so I had to do them every morning for a week...I am exhausted, but please with the results.

What do you think???
Okay...I have a small rant to get off my chest.
Yesterday was my mom's birthday. She had originally wanted my brother, sister and I (plus families) to all get together. Well, my sister, in all her brilliance, decides that she needs to remain the center of my mom's universe and so she announces that she is taking mom out for a surprise birthday outing. Well, my brother and I, not wanting to cause a fight or anything, do not put up a fuss and let dear ol' sis take her out. Now we're thinking she has something special planned. Maybe some bonding one-on-one time. Yah, right! Turns out she took my mom to a surprise birthday party that some relatives had planned for her at their house. And, neither my brother nor I was invited. That little
!!!!! We trusted her and once again, she has to somehow show us both up.![]()
So...fast forward to today. It is my niece's birthday party. (Sis' kid) Brother and I show up to party only to find out all the WONDERFUL details of where my sis took mom. Now, mom feels terrible cause she didn't know and that her other kids weren't invited to HER OWN PARTY.How can one person be so self centered, self absorbed and and mean to her own family?![]()
And I can't confront her on this because she will make a huge stink, start swearing like a drunken sailor (and my appologies to drunken sailors
) all in front of the kids. (She's done it before. Many times back when my dad was dying.)
What did I do to belong to a family like this???![]()
Well, the kids are off to school.(hmmm, can ya tell I'm happy about it?) DS refuses to bring a lunchbox because they don't get to go to their lockers after lunch (how stupid is that?!?) so he would have to carry his lunch box all afternoon. So I packed him a peanut butter and banana sandwich in a brown paper bag, and froze his milk so it will be cold at lunchtime. (if it doesn't thaw, he has milk money just in case!) Such a production! DD is buying today--I let them each choose 3 days a month to buy. Today is her all time favorite, "Rib-e-que". Basically boneless ribs but she loves them. At least she picks some decent stuff. DS chose pizza, mozzarella sticks, and some other "kid food" that he shouldn't be eating. Oh well, gotta give them SOME leeway... Anyway, can you believe milk is 50 cents? When I was in HS, LUNCH was 50 cents! (OK, so I'm seriously dating myself here) Just amazing.
