Dang, y'all have been QUIET!!!

Well, I have to say the weekend was AWESOME! It was soooo cool to meet M&N and D&D, and to see Kitty and racetrack again. As kitty said, the kids were all very sweet and well behaved. racetrack's smallest DD is just tooooo cute! And D&D's boys are just amazing, so polite and smart. racetrack may have her hands full with DS, but he was an angel as far as I saw (don't worry racetrack, I know how kids do that, act all angelic for everyone but YOU!), and always held the door for everyone.

Walking through the park was exhilarating! Remember, I have NEVER done Disney on foot (well, not since I was 15), so, even tho HP is smaller, it was still alot of walking (with hills!) and I had no problem...until the middle of the night when I got major leg cramps!:scared1: They were so bad I had to bail on M&N and the Amish yesterday, becuase walking was still uncomfortable. I am hoping this was a warmup for Scotland, NOT foreshadowing of how it is gonna be there with all the walking!

I just have to mention the hotel, becuase it was so funny. Kitty had DNephew and Edward with her, and they got a regular room with 2 double beds. I was alone and had booked a regular room with a King bed. I opened the door and found...a SUITE! I am telling you this place was HUGE! Bigger than my first apartment! It had a huge living room with TV, sofa, chairs, and a desk (with free WiFi). The connecting (by double doors!) bedroom was equally huge, with a few chairs, dresser, another TV, a little table with coffee service on it, a closet, and a bathroom that is bigger than both my home bathrooms COMBINED! Only when I was leaving the room did I notice that the living room had a SECOND bathroom! (actually just a "powder room") but it was bigger than my biggest bathroom here! I was cracking up thinking of little ol' me all alone in this palace, and trying to figure out WHY they gave me this enormous room. Well, I am a member of Holiday Inn's Priority Club, so I guess I got the free upgrade! The bed was sure comfy--so much so that I wouldn't have cared if there was nothing else in the room!:lmao:

Anyway, on to real life. Sure is quiet around here with no kids and no doggie. I finally got to talk to DS this morning--still haven't had any mail from him! He is doing just fine at camp and likes it alot and has lots of new friends. He was far more enthusiastic about talking to me than DD was on Sunday (all I got from her was monotone). He says he misses me, and that the food is "OK but not as good as yours".:rotfl2: I miss him too! Please note my new ticker...

Marie, so sorry about your doggie! I hope she's OK!

Shmu, hope you did great on the test!

Kitty, did you finish your Millionaire stuff yet?

Pikester, still praying for Beana!

DK55 it was so cool talking to you the other night! Wish you'd been there with us...

LITC, sorry you're feeling poorly. Hope you're all better quick!

OMG---I'm soooo hyper...

...I just watched (well in between phone calls) 2 hrs of H...'s Kitchen. I cannot believe it. I saw a show or part of one before but I think this is much worse??? I just cannot believe how they acted!

Where is everyone anyway? I know our soon to be millionaire and our future teacher are studying. I hope your wrist is better LITC. Marie's poor doggie. I don't have pets but understand how they are family. I think EV is away? Sukie must be getting near her cruise. Pikester, Lighttech, Shmy and DL55 have popped in. We know Scotland is calling Whgrn...get those legs rested!

So where's Racer? I guess I'll get to bed early tonight too!

Hey M&N!

I just finished watching Hell's Kitchen and all I can say is ! In the beginning of the first part they showed scenes from this coming season and OUCH! I also can't believe how violent everyone is talking. Are they for real? The one thing that still amazes me is how many of the contestants smoke. I thought smoking killed your tastebuds. How does that work when you're a chef and your tastebuds are a major part of what you need to do your job?:confused3 Loved the "New" surprise chef! I figured the "new" chef would kick everyone's behind but I guess that chef can still have an off day. What's up with Joseph? Major attitude there!

Apparently the way Chef R is critizing them, they all must not have good taste buds! I am still surprised how people can think they have a little knowledge or experience and think they know it all. And how many times does a person need to be told to use a bowl? HA! Was Joseph the soldier? It seemed like most have attitudes. I guess my attitude would come out if Chef R talked to me like that too???

If Chef Ramsey ever talked to me like that I would either start bawling or pee my pants. Actually, I'd probably start bawling and pee my pants!

I don't know who does the casting for the show but I would prefer to see people that can really cook instead of having "thow aways" on there like the guy who owns the diner. Can he really cook but was having an off night or did casting think it was funny that he was a diner owner and was trying to pass his food off as something great? Nothing against diners as I've had some great food in them.

The guy (Joseph) who wants to throw down with Chef Ramsey is a Sous Chef from NY.

Well what about the girl who didn't know which was the freezer? I can't understand why Chef didn/t like sausage gravy on the biscuit. ;) It did look kind of heavy though!

Yes, I know it's after 11. I was just about to log off but saw that you had posted so I thought I would come back and say a quick "Good Night".

Talk to you tomorrow.

Just popping in this morning for a quick hello.:hippie:
Great pics M&N. Thanks for sharing.
I can actually keep up on here when it's quiet like this. :rotfl:

I added a new ticker. I'm sure it will fly by. :teacher:

Well, I have homework, laundry, bills, book keeping for our business, and grocery shopping to do today so I better get going.

Have a great day TKers.:yay:

Looks like a cloudy dark day today but it's suppose to be clearing out by this afternoon. I sure hope so!

Shmu: So glad to see that you stopped by ecspecially since you are going to be really busy today.

Well, I should probably go get busy myself. I'm thinking of getting a walk in before I take my shower. That way I'll get out there sooner rather then later. And let's not forget the laundry and other stuff that needs to be done today.

Shmu Like your ticker...but won't it take a long time to show any movement?
hi Pikester

The trip to the vet wasn't good news. Our dog probably has a mammary tumor after all. Friday they are going to remove the growth and send it for testing. He also suggested that we go ahead and spay her to prevent any more tumors as they tend to be linked to her reproductive organs. Oh well, that will solve several problems. No more spotting all over the carpet and we won't have to decide whether to let her have a litter of puppies. Now we just have to hope the test comes back good. One good thing from the trip is I decided we have the best vet in Texas. He is such a fantastic guy.

Anyway, I do have more good news! I bought our WDW tickets yesterday! So now I have got the airline tickets, the house is lined up, the car is reserved and a new camera is on the way. Now I just wish December would hurry up and get here. I am so ready for a vacation! Pikester, are you just about ready? I just noticed your ticker. What are your dates again? We will be there Dec 2-16. Anyone else planning on going in December?

Magikitty, how is the studying for Millionaire going? Have you learned more useless information than you ever wanted to know? That sounds like the perfect book for my son. He knows all kinds of stuff I would never imagine... and not always good.... but he swears by Wikipedia. If you run out of stuff in your book just pick a topic on Wiki and it will lead you gathering even more useless information.

Thanks for all the update news. I have one gripe... we need more pictures! And, I would like for them to be larger than M&N's pics because I am old and have crappy eyesight so I cannot see the details in those teeny pictures!
Whgrn, I hope you legs are feeling better. You are almost heading out on another trip! Yippee! It sounds like maybe camp is turning out to be a good thing for your DS. Perhaps he is learning to appreciate you while he is gone.

Howdy to everyone else. Better go get something done this morning.... I guess I should go empty the kitty litter box before the kitty revolts and starts going somewhere else. :scared1: I hate litter boxes!

Oh Marie, I am so sorry to hear about your doggie.

(Found this Dog Hug for you)

We will be arriving at the World on 11/29 first thing in the morning and leaving 12/6 first thing in the morning. We are driving from NH and leaving at 4AM on 11/27 (which is Black Friday. I can't believe I'm going to miss shopping on that day!) and have plans to stop somewhere around 5PM or so. Then we will be continuing our drive until we get to Daytona Beach where we plan on making a quick stop and then on to Kissimee, FL where we will be staying the night. That way we can get to WDW first thing, check in and hit the parks. We figure our room won't be ready yet but that's OK. We'll just leave our bags in the van. I don't have everything nailed down yet as I've been hearing rumors of a possible Free Dining extention to Disney Visa card members. It it's going to happen then they better do it before I have to start making my ADRs on August 31st. At this time we are doing the Quick Service Dining plan but we have plans to pay-out-of-pocket for the Hoop Dee Doo and Chef Mickeys. I've heard that the food isn't that great at Chef Mickeys but to look at it as going for the characters so I'm still on the fence about that one.

Afternoon!!!!!

What a weekend. I think I am more tired now than when we came home from Florida. :rotfl: I loved the way all the kids got along right away. Not only was it like we had known each other forever but it seemed as though they did too.

I've been busy uploading pictures from the weekend. I didn't realize how many DH had taken.

This is the big coaster that I took the kids on.

In line, DD is in the green, I'm in pink, and DS is in black. MK's nephew is next to DS.

hersheypark005.jpg

We would have been in the second car. You are flat on your back as the train goes up the hill.

hersheypark006.jpg

This is the coaster that MK rode with the kids. It starts off like RNRC in that you start from a dead stop and launches you into a big hill.

Best part of the coaster, in my opinion

The kids all decided to play chauffeur on the Turnpike

This is the actual Hershey factory.

The kids were just as happy with the simple amusement park rides as when they got to ride the high tech ones is Florida.

The bumper cars were a big hit.

Along with the giant slide like you would find a fair/carnival

DD13 & DD6

I even got a picture of D&D going down the slide

hersheypark040.jpg

DD6 not only made fast friends with the other kids but Wendy was officially renamed "my ride buddy"

Good afternoon! Finally had a chance to go back and see what I missed over the weekend....

racetrack and M&N are so funny with their "I'm too tired to sleep!" late night conversation....

Marie, so DS has a new girlie in his life huh? I hope he finds his happiness--but not too much! Ah, I remember those all night talks, that thrill of fascination with each other. Now, I'm like "whadda ya want NOW?" :lmao: How is the puppy doing? congrats on the new camera!

LITC---how ya, feeling, Mama? I'm watching Big Brother, so far everyone has annoyed me. I hate thinking that if I got on the show, I'd be the old fart! Russel and Jesse, can there be more annoying people in the house???thanks for offering to be a phone-a-friend. I've gotten that covered, I think. I just hope they ask the right questions!

Lighttech--we missed you so much! Oh goodness, BL is going to be a YEAR?! Ack, but congrats! Where did the time go? sounds like DS is going to be a Romeo too!

Shmu...congrats on kicking college's butt! Great ticker!

Pikester, so glad to hear Beana is looking better. How did you spend your day of gluttony and self-indulgence? I just noticed your ticker--wow, congrats on the wedded bliss!

DL55...its was so good to talk to you! How was Harry Potter? I still haven't seen it yet--it'll have to wait until after Millionaire.

Racetrack, I have to tell you. I love your kids. I lied to BF and told him that after spending the weekend with a gaggle of kids, I wasn't so sure I could handle them. But spending time with your children, and D&D's boys, I want some so badly! Your children were so well behaved and so adorable. I am just amazed at how awesome a Mommy and Daddy you guys are! I already told you the kids are absolutely gorgeous!

BTW, thanks for the picture of the look of terror on Storm!

I LOVE the pic of us outside the Red Robin! Its perfect!

Oops! Double post.....Dis was taking too long.

Here's what I learned today: there hasn't been a bearded president since Benjamin Harrison. and the Statue of Liberty's face is modelled after the designers Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi's mother.
