I missed it lol who was coming to MI. This is what I get for missing a day on the DIS. I come back so confused.

Kitty - Are you still there or is there a new fruit in your life?

My DD came home from work with a ziplock full of cherries. Some customer gave them to her (FREE..thought of MagiKitty..good deal )

My mom's accident happened about 2 weeks ago. I was still traveling back home. She'll be black n blue for weeks..she's almost 80. She says she still had fun.

We had a big storm yesterday. Thought of MagiKitty when our satellite went out (only 10 min). We spent the time watching it pour outside.
On my walk this am I saw a tarantula! I feel bad about not redirecting from it's path to the road. When I came by later he was splattered on the road, just a tangle of tarantula legs.

Phew! ladies, it took me nearly 5 hours to run my errands today. FIVE! And I didn't even stray too far from home or flirt with anyone. I went to the bank, got gas for the Kittymobile, got some pics developed at Walmart, went to Home Depot, Staples, grocery, pharmacy and deli. I am so tired! What really takes a long time is matching the correct product with my coupons, but well worth it.

I also got the goods to make banana pudding. I've never made it before, but based on the ingredients, what's not to love?

And like DL and her daughter, I am feasting on cherries! They were a bit pricey for me, but goodness do they make me happy....I have prepared a lovely spread of french bread, soft cheese, cherries and blueberries. Its quite romantic, considering I'm stuffing my face.

Good Morning,

I am so excited for our friends who finally are traveling to China to pick up their baby girl today . They've waited 4 years for baby #2 and have been on this infertility journey with us for some time now. It is just so wonderful for them to finally get to meet their daughter and bring her home. Their oldest daughter is as old as my DS8 and they brought her home from China 7 years ago. Its making me really want to go back down the adoption road again. Just can't wait 4 years this time.

Kitty - sorry that your pint of blueberries were sour. They can be so delicious and sweet. the darker the berry the better. I have a few on my bushes that made it through the tornado and they are just starting to turn blue. I think I'll wait a while before picking.

That is so exciting. I can't imagine having to wait so long. How relieved they must be, and happy! I barely made it through 9 months oncec I found out I was pregnant!

Hey don't feel bad, you may have turned it, then it might have went the same path anyways.

Good evening everyone. It's hot again...but at least we had some much needed rain. The corn was starting to look sad. I know several of my new plants died...I was not home to water them.

I got my Walter votes in right away. I'm signing up for 2 new screen names so I can vote 2 more times. How's he doing in the count. I just saw 1 baby on the first page that had a lot of votes but Walter is higher. I love Kermit too. My favorite was Fozzie Bear though---I could identify with him I guess!

Evening! Spent most of the early day cleaning and then the rest outside with Livvie. I'm trying to work on my tan but you would still need sunglasses to even glimpse at my legs. And now they want rain so I'm really out of luck.

DL55, I hope your mom's bruises start to fade soon. And I don't think I would have it in me to go help a tarantula. Ick...spider. I have to get my courage up just to shoo the Daddy Long Legs that are in our house.

LITC, I remembered to vote again. I think the highlight of my day is logging on to vote and seeing Walter's pic. It just gives me the warm fuzzies.

MK, I drive Curt nuts when I do bring all my coupons when we go shopping. He just don't get how hard it really is to plan ahead and than hope that the store has what you need for the coupon. At those times, I send him to Home Depot for some relaxation therapy.

George Steinbrenner has died. He's an icon in Yankee history. Sadness.

OMG...banana pudding is so dang good! I thought I'd lighten it up a bit by using sugar free vanilla pudding and making my own whipped cream. I can't imagine how sweet it would be if I used the regular stuff. But its absolutely addictive.

D&D...I forgot to say congrats to your friend on their new addition to their family! How wonderful. I would love to adopt a Chinese girl, but they've made the requirements tougher and I wouldn't qualify anymore. But apparently Korean babies have less red tape and they allow "older" mothers to adopt. Hmm....

Good morning!

Was on my way here from FB to save M&N but I see Magi stepped up to the plate. (In honor of the banana pudding. )

I was on earlier but didn't post due to time constraints. Went for my walk and boy is it sticky out there today. Not sure what the temp is suppose to get up to though. I've got more chores that need to be done today and I have to take DS9 to the orthodontist for a 2PM appt. According to Google Maps it should take me 39 minutes to reach my destination but since I've never been there before I'm going to give myself an hour.

Other then that I've don't have much going on here today.

Thanks Kitty. I just could not believe there were no green lights! I'm afraid that I do break my diet when Bird-In-Hand has banana pudding. I wish they used sugar free pudding. Of course they don't have the whole cookie---just crumbs but that makes it better for me! I don't know about the whipped topping but sure sugar is involved...I say too bad! I just love banana pudding too!

You are so kind too Pikester. I forgive you for not posting due to 'time constraints'. As long as I was saved. I do know I killed another post last month but it wasn't an important one anyway! Have fun at the orthodontist. You are such a darling mom to take him!

Did I hear banana pudding? I love it along with banana cream pie - mmm!

I'm exhausted. Been having some rough nights. DS8 is really having a rough time when it gets dark and then at bedtime. Not only is he having bad dreams but I think night terrors. The other night he ended up crawling into our bed around 2am scared to death. I'm convinced its not the storm, but the aftermath that is the worst. DS8 hasn't left my side for a min. unless I get him involved in a video game - like right now. Poor guy!
On a good note the blue tarps are slowly disappearing and new construction is starting to take its place.

Have to got to Walmart anyway. Its new release Tuesday. Sting is putting out a CD of his music with the London Philharmonic. We're going to see him perform that at the end of the month. I figure if I'm going to be stuck in the car with my Dad on Friday, he may as well do some prep work for the concert.

We're also seeing Celtic Woman next weekend. He already knows them. He loves them. I got him sick seats. Its going to be so much fun. I don't think he's been to a concert in ages....

Hey D&D. I'm sure it's hard on you too--trying to figure out what to do. Poor guy. I think I would be afraid too. He knows you are there for him. Are there kids his age in the neighborhood who were affected too? Can he talk to them about it? How is the older one handling it? Is he understanding what the younger one is going though?

aw hugs, Prez. Its gotta be so difficult to try to enjoy outside and the summer, when it was Mother Nature that scared you in the first place. It feels like a bit of his innocence was lost, which makes me so sad. And the bad sleeping isn't good for him. A growing boy needs his sleep. So does Mom and Dad!

Are you sure you're too "old" for China? My friend who is there now is almost 50. Have you looked at the Phils for adoption? If/when we do international again, we'd check that out.
