Hello ladies...another washout here. There was a "chance" of storms according to Mr. Weatherman. It hasn't stopped raining yet, so I don't know what he's talking about....

We were talking about World Cup last night...why isn't soccer bigger in the US? Eveyone has some sort of child playing soccer in elementary school, then by high school its not that big of a sport anymore....

I saw some coverage of the English goalie...I feel kinda bad for him.

Our goalie is amazing. He's been battling a pretty bad stutter most of his life. He's also really cute.

I watched Serbia vs. Ghana today--Ghana won! Its amazing for one of the African countries to qualify. Yahoo for them!

I haven't figured out the scoring system yet. I guess it goes by your goals and if you win?

All I know is that in each group of 4 they play each other (4 total games) the two with the best records go on to the next round. Usually I just ask DH who's winning. :) I'm glad to hear Ghana won. I like to root for the underdog. A habit I picked up from rooting for my local college. :lmao:

Rainy and dreary good morning ladies!

Its World Cup Fever from my couch! I watched South Korea vs. Greece, am presently watching Argentin vs. Nigeria. Waiting for the US/England match later today. I did do some world cup picks, but already I'm down since yesterdays matches ended in draws.

Its all very exciting and rather foreign to me. To think of how much of the world is invested in this sporting event. Plus there are a lot of cute boys running around.

We refer to the start of the World Cup as...Let the Eye Candy begin!! I'm afraid I was cheering for England since my father was English and a huge soccer fan.

Just dropped by to say hi...I'm off to my sister's for the night...have to be a the hospital at 7:30 for 9am surgery. Talk to you all in a couple of days.

He was very nice and I think he thought I was going to yell at him. But I didn't. STayed extrememly calm and just wrote down info til the cop arrived. He said since the the damage seemed minor we could just exchange info. I take the van for the estimate on Mon. and then I will call the family and tell them how much it is. If they can't afford it, then we'll have to do insurance.

I am just so glad that my kids were not in the car at the time and that it wasn't more serious. I mean really....a distracted driver can be deadly. He could have really injured someone. :sad2:

Hey D, so sorry about the accident, even without injuries they can be very upsetting. Glad to hear you are ok.

Good luck Ev, we will be thinking of you.

Thank you everyone for the hugs and well wishes on our family friend. You are all the best!!!

LITC, sorry about your loss.

D&D, that's awful about the accident, but I'm glad you're alright.

No soccer here. Yesterday the B in my name turned 3, so it was all Toy Story all day. But, my sister was watching. On univision. And today she said her dog was cheering for Ghana. My sister is crazy. :rotfl2:

And, BKMETV, best of luck with the surgery! I'll say a prayer for you.

Hello TKers!

Not much going on around here today. DH and DS12 were busy but other then grocery shopping with DS9 I didn't do much today. I've been really lazy and eating way to many cookies that we had leftover from the fundraiser yesterday. YUCK! I really need to go out for a walk but there is no time and the weather is not that great. Once the kids and DH are back at school and work tomorrow I should be able to get out.

DL55: Safe trip to you!

Jo: Thanks for the congrats.

I'll be sending good thoughts your way Ev. :goodvibes

Magi:Those weatherman can really make you shake your head. The one we have couldn't predict his way out of a paperbag most days.

D&D:How are you feeling today?

LITC: Glad that you are feeling better but sad to hear about your family friend.

pepper:I wish that I was going to be able to meet you too but I understand about having a tight budget.

SCHBR'smom: :wave2:

I hope I didn't overlook anybody; I hate it when that happens to me.

Have a good one!

Evening! Excluding cleaning, I had a fairly boring day. The weather was overcast and humid and we had quite a bit of heavy rain at times. The girls ended up playing out in the rain. They had such a great time.

I had to send emails to all Curtis's teachers today. He absolutely refused to put any effort into any of his missed assignments. There is only so much we can do if he refuses to do it. And we certainly are not going to do it for him.

pepper, even though you can't make it to Hershey, I am so looking forward to hopefully seeing you in Disney.

Hey Kerrie, how are you feeling?

MK, we've been having crazy weather here too. I swear the weather forecast changes by the hour.

JO, it is so kind of you to always ask how I am doing. I'm feeling much better. I should be about to enter the 2nd trimester and should feel great for the next 3 months. At least, I hope so.

Kerrie, second trimester already? Time is flying. I remember feeling like superwoman at that time of my pregnancies. It was actually a great time. No morning/all day sickness, tons of energy and just all around happy. I truly wish the same for you.

Thank you, JO. It really is the best time of pregnancy. Clearly showing, not just people wondering if you've gained a little weight, less sickness, more energy, you can feel the baby move. It's great. As long as no complications arise (which I'm not anticipating), it should be a wonderful 3 months.

Since DL55 is leaving in one day we need to discuss TKer picnic time. She said 5PM on Wednesday June 23rd. That sounds fine to me unless we have others traveling that will getting in a little later. Please let us know. My plans are to check out The Indian Echo Caverns in Hummelstown so we'll be nearby.

Hi Everyone!

Ev - Hope all goes well today. Prayers and good luck!

DL55 - Have a safe trip today! :car: See you soon.

Pikester - Easy on the cookies now.

You don't want all your hard work to go to (your) WAIST. ;)

JO - Loved your playing in the rain pics. :thumbsup2

LITC - How are you today?

Kerrie - Glad to hear everything is going well for you. Enjoy every min.

Have to share...
The kids were looking for stuff to do yesterday. (I know, couple days in to vacation and they are already bored.) Anyway, they were listening to the radio and DS12 came across this station where they were playing old radio shows/stories. They were complete with bad sound effects and everything. The boys both started listening for an hour. They were so into the story, laughing and huddled aroudn the radio. They thought this was some new story hour or something.
I explained to them that this is what people used to do before they had TV. They would listen to stories on the radio and use their imagination to "see" it. The boys were like.."Really mom??" Its funny how all old things are new.

Morning ladies! Another overcast and rainy day here. I can't beleive I'm wearing a sweater in the middle of June.

Pike, we LOVED the caves...its going to be so much fun. I think it took us about 90 minutes?

I'm planning to be in the area around lunchtime, but a lot depends on the construction traffic on the way down. But I'll definitely be there sooner rather than later...

So nice to hear that you're feeling good Kerrie!

D&D...my sister and I listened to books on tape on a drive to Chicago some years ago. We thought it would be fun to listen to War of the Worlds. Its was freakin scary! We totally understood the mass hysteria the radio broadcast caused....

JO--I'm sorry to hear about the problems at school with Curt. You have honestly tried though. Big hugs and prayers to you.

Happy travelling DL55! See you real soon! Take lots of pictures!

I have a new home trial--perfume! They sent me 5 little atomizers to use this week. I smell so lovely!

Warning....Auntie B has to brag a little!

This is from Alicia's first birthday party. She has my hair and is full on running now!

OK, so I'm going to get this out there.

TKer Picnic. We have some friends that are no longer able to make it. Do we want to cancel the "picnic" and just have desserts and drinks at 6PM/6:30PMish? We can all find our own dinner and then meet back at the hotel to do that.

Any ideas would be great!

We need to let DL55 and M&N know about the changes.

Pike, if that's something that would fit into your plans better, than that would be fine. D&D, M&N, and I will be together that afternoon anyway.

LITC is almost definitely coming that day to hang out also, but I"m not sure of what time she and her family are going to arrive.

I guess what I"m saying is that my dinner plans are going to include some TKers either way!
