Tkers...Killing threads seven days a week!

It might be the easier solution. Nobody has to shop for big items. Cookies, brownies, etc can be bought in the bakery section or maybe M&N knows a good place to get those items. Do you have contact info for M&N and DL55? We should make sure what everyone wants to do and then we can let them know.

I have both their numbers. We should wait to tell DL55 what's going on until we know more. M&N has visitors this week but should stop by sometime. D&D and LITC will be around to put their two cents in, I"m sure....

I guess what I"m saying is that my dinner plans are going to include some TKers either way!

I vote for whatever is easiest. As long as everyone gets fed somehow I think it will be fine.

Will check back later. Going to make dinner and break up an argument on the front lawn.

78 days until school starts again!!!!

JO, it is so kind of you to always ask how I am doing. I'm feeling much better. I should be about to enter the 2nd trimester and should feel great for the next 3 months. At least, I hope so.

That is the time I felt my best during my pregnancy also...

Thank you, JO. It really is the best time of pregnancy. Clearly showing, not just people wondering if you've gained a little weight, less sickness, more energy, you can feel the baby move. It's great. As long as no complications arise (which I'm not anticipating), it should be a wonderful 3 months.

But not quite that good.....lol

Since DL55 is leaving in one day we need to discuss TKer picnic time. She said 5PM on Wednesday June 23rd. That sounds fine to me unless we have others traveling that will getting in a little later. Please let us know. My plans are to check out The Indian Echo Caverns in Hummelstown so we'll be nearby.

Anytime is fine for us.

Hi Everyone!

Ev - Hope all goes well today. Prayers and good luck!

DL55 - Have a safe trip today! :car: See you soon.

Pikester - Easy on the cookies now.

You don't want all your hard work to go to (your) WAIST. ;)

JO - Loved your playing in the rain pics. :thumbsup2

LITC - How are you today?

Kerrie - Glad to hear everything is going well for you. Enjoy every min.

HI D!!! Not to bad thanks!!!

Warning....Auntie B has to brag a little!

This is from Alicia's first birthday party. She has my hair and is full on running now!

So cute!

Pike, if that's something that would fit into your plans better, than that would be fine. D&D, M&N, and I will be together that afternoon anyway.

LITC is almost definitely coming that day to hang out also, but I"m not sure of what time she and her family are going to arrive.

I guess what I"m saying is that my dinner plans are going to include some TKers either way!

DH wants to get to the area by late lunch time/early afternoon at the latest.

I don't care which way we do it, but if we don't do the "picnic" does anyone want to try to find a restaurant nearby? We only have Wednesday with you guys, so I want to maximize my TK time.

Ooh, looks good Pike! I already know what I would order! Yummy!

It looks cool and I hope the food tastes good too! Even if the group decides not to eat here I plan on having the family try it out.

It does say reservations recommended for groups. You'd think we'd need one on a Wednesday?

D...are you here? My local PBS has a special on Andrew Jackson that I think Mr. Prez would like to watch...

Having some computer issues, but DH and I will usually find something just about anywhere. And maybe if we get a count of people we can call ahead and give them a heads up.

I got a question for all you heading to Hershey. What time are you all heading to the park on Thursday?

And LITC, what time are you leaving to head home on Thursday?

THe restaurant idea sounds fine. However I am wondering if we'll all be able to mingle enough in a restaurant that night. Its so hard to get around to everyone even at 1 big table.
I can still do the grilling if we want to keep the picnic idea. That way we can maximize TKer time (as LITC put it) and keep it informal.

But, whatever y'all decide is fine with me. I'm just coming along for the ride on this trip. Want to do very little thinking.

Pikester - I'll check on the Andrew Jackson thing here. He'd love to see that I'm sure. :thumbsup2

See you all tomorrow!

Morning.

D&D: I think the main problem with the picnic was that the "grill" will no longer be coming.

We could just do the first idea I proposed which was the desserts and drinks at the hotel. As far as I know DH and the kids have plans to hit Hershey that night using the after 7:30PM park preview so they would only be hanging around for a little bit while I'll be hanging out with you ladies.

Piggy backing on Jo's question about park arrival time (we'll be getting there for park opening), how are we planning to spend the day at Hershey? Do we want to do family time and then meet up or do TKer time until a certain time? Are we spending the whole day together?

Just trying to nail down a little schedule.

Hi all:

Well surgery went over well...just sitting and watching soccer today. Got my DH home to look after my every need :thumbsup2 ...and a friend dropped off dinner so he doesn't even have to do that.

MK ~ Alicia is gorgeous...what a cutie!

Kerrie ~ yeah for 2nd trimester!!

Hi JO, D&D LITC and Pike!

Can't believe Hershey week is almost here. It's going to be very quiet around here!

Good morning!

Hey Ev...I was thinking/wondering about you...so glad that everything went okay and you're on the way to a quick recovery! So nice of DH to stay home and take care of you. He's a keeper!

Pike, I'm not sure there's really a plan for Hershey. Last year, we just kinda milled around after the kids and chatted and spent time together. We did ride a few rides that was so much fun! Do you have a plan for the park? Are the kids coaster fans?

D...I'm with you...whatever we do, as long as we're all together (finally!) and get to spend time together is fine with me...and we have to take TONS of pictures!

Ev, I'm bringing my netbook, so I"m sure we'll be able to post a little....

Could that be the sun? I forgot what it looked like!

My sister is coming into town sometime tomorrow, and Quincy the day afte that. I'm supposed to be cleaning, but I'll do that later. I'm still in recovery from the 6 loads of laundry yesterday and I have two more to do today....

Oh, I didn't realize someone was bringing a grill. Thought the hotel had one similar to those you find at picnic areas. The suite hotel we stayed at in the past had some grills and a picnic area so I just assumed this place did too.

So I go to file a claim on our car today. Luckily both the other driver and myself have the same auto insurance company. Got the estimate for the damage too. What appears to be very MINOR damage actually is costing about $2,200+ Jeeze, who would have tought a plastic bumper and dent in the door would be so much to repair. :sad2:

I do have to say though that I am very impressed with the engineering of these new cars. I got hit pretty hard and didn't move a cm and I could actually feel the van absorb the shock of the hit as it traveled like a wave from back to front. Kinda wierd. The guy at the auto body shop explained that newer cars are not designed with a single body frame any more. They are designed in parts (part metal w/ plastic in-between) to absorb more of the shock and then to crumble upon impact. I would have thought that was less safe, but who knew physics principles would work so well. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you're going to be busy. Is this the same sis that graduated last week?
I know I should be cleaning and packing a few things for next week, but instead here I am. :surfweb: The kids are busy w/ games right now so I have to take advantage of that.

Yes, its the same sister. She's supposed to move to Rochester next week, which is actually further away. She has a few days off, so she'll be with everyone here. She hasn't seen my brother and his family here since Christmas.

I'm waiting for my laundry cycle to finish, then I"ll put it on the line. I've already cleaned the bathrooms and changed the sheets (hence the laundry). Hazel the Roomba has been set free and is doing a fantastic job. I should be making a grocery list, but I'm playing video games too!

The only thing I have packed for next week is my pajamas. I think I'm more waiting to see what the weather will be like. I hope its warm and not rainy! I have to dig out my 311 toiletries too....

I forgot to add, congrats on the insurance. I can't believe its that much! But thank goodness its built the way it is....physics rocks! I just wish I understood it better, it was really one of my weaker points in college....it really is part of our everyday life.
