True confessions here.
Hope Kitty loves us anyway.

Sure she does,Kitty is so great she loves us all!

Had a fairly good day, thanks. How was yours? Walter had me up earlier than I would have hoped but that's ok. Spent most of the day playing with him, then had to work job #2, but it went so fast. Now I am home and enjoying the quiet!

Glad you are getting some quiet time LITC. How is Walter's asthma doing?

My day was quiet but productive. It was raining most of the day so we couldn't get to the fall festivals in the area as we had hoped. Bummer! Look forward to these every year. Oh well, there's always apple picking in a few weeks.

Well it's ok that it rained, after all you are out of town :thumbsup2

Sorry you had to miss out on your plans, those festivals can be so much fun!
I love apple farms, my mom used to take us to a couple of them every fall.

Oh, and Walters asthma is doing well. Still coughing some, but the wheeze seems to be under control, and the congestion is much better. Hopefully as this singulair gets into his system more he will build up more of an immunity to fight this stuff off.

:rotfl2: That's right. I forgot.

I sure hope so. Must be so scary for him and for you.
My youngest got croop quite often as a baby and it scared me to death when he had that barking cough.

MK, I wanted to pop in here quick and give you an update on the cat situation. Sammi (the outdoor cat that took refuge in our house) ran back out last night. She's a great cat but maybe she wasn't ready, or able, to be indoors. She was hanging around our house today but made no attempt to come back in even with the door held open for her. Livvie was pretty upset....pretty much heartbroken.

So, we now have 3 kitties in the house. Curt went to work with his dad today and by the job was a litter of kittens from a outdoor cat that lives up there. SIL called me and asked if we wanted one. Sucker me, said to bring 2.....didn't want them to get lonely. SiL took one for herself but then her husband said she couldn't keep it. Bigger sucker me said it could stay here until she could talk him into it. So let me introduce you to Lilo and Layla and SIL's Tigger.

Layla is the black one. She's mine and she has one heck of an attitude already. Lilo is the one that is more orange that white. And Tigger is the one with the almost all white front.

I have become the crazy cat lady overnight. :rotfl2:

And if Sammi ever wants to come back in, she can. We are still going to take care of her even if she chooses to stay outside. Even in that little bit of time, she became part of the family, you know.

I have to share...
We got a great "Kitty" bargain this week. Red Twig Dogwood bushes were on sale 75% off at our local Menards store. Got these cute 3 ft bushes for $5 each. :cool1: We needed to plant some in the back of our yard to eventually make a hedge and I've had my eye on dogwood cuz they have these pretty white/green leaves in summer, orange in fall and then in winter the bark turns this bright red color. So pretty against the snow.

LITC, sorry I missed you. I'm glad Walter is feeling better and that you seem to be in a better mood. I'm about to finalize our vacation plans so I'll email you about meeting up.

D&D, I would love to add stuff to our yard but we have to get rid of what the previous people put in first. They were just crazy about planting things. There's just way too much and unless you want to trim stuff every day, it's just too much.

I'd love to come help ya take out some plants. :thumbsup2

Good morning ladies! Thought I'd drop in before heading to church. Woke up with terrible allergies. Took something already, but need to get rid of this fullness/headache. Its just so difficult to do anything when your head hurts.

D...we won't be doing any sort of silly games at my shower. Just good food, good drinks, good friends! Congrats on the great bargain on the bushes! Its always great to get what you want as a wonderful price.

I guess I"m my own adjective! But I'm fine with it! I love being cheap and on a good bargain. Rumour has it that Target has its stuff 75% off this week if anyone is interested....I'm going to try to stop by in Kansas. They have different stuff there.

JO---welcome to your little ones! Gosh, they're so cute! Sorry to hear about Livvie being upset about the other cat, but you never know, she may show up again. One of mine likes to go on vacation once a year. He actually goes out on the deck and shimmies down the pole (the deck is 14 feet above ground). He usually returns a few days later, but then everyone has to have flea treatment, and everyone is pretty PO'd about it.

LITC---thanks for the info about Tusker House, now I"m totally wanting to go! Glad to hear that your days have gotten better and that Walter is starting to respond to his meds.

I lost one of my great-grandmother's earrings yesterday, and its totally my fault. It took them off before taking a shower and placed them on my desk. Totally forgot about it and then realized I had moved some papers around and probably knocked it off somewhere. But I haven't been able to find it. I have to pray to St. Jude and St. Anthony to help me find it. All I have from her is those earrings and a matching ring. I'm frantic. I know its here somewhere but until I find it, I'll be going crazy.

Morning!

MK, sorry about your great-grandmother's earring. Target has 75% off, huh? Might have to go take a trip over.

Sammi, the outdoor cat, has been back around since she ran out. She's just made no effort to come back in. But she loves the attention when she does come back to eat. She's still our cat but she just wants to be outside.

These little ones are a trip. Lilo is an instigator. She hides behind the tv and attacks the other ones' tails. Nor can her brother and sister sleep because she always wants to play. Things should be pretty interesting around here now.

Yes, when they get on one of those caughing fits it is so scary. And Walter tends to be very mucus-y when he is sick so you can hear him caughing/gagging/choking on that stuff to. Ugh!

Nice deal! I love it when one of us gets to "pull a Kitty!"

Sorry I missed you to JO, it was just bedtime before I knew it! Yeah, I sure do hope that we get to meet up and you can all meet Walter!

Aww Kitty so sorry about the earring. I sure do hope you find it. That must be really nerve wracking. We'll be thinking of you.

Uh-oh, sometimes pets aren't so different from kids, huh?

JO--it sounds like such fun to have fur babies running around! And nice that Sammi showed up too. Love is love.

I thought I'd share my latest giggles. I got my Verizon bill yesterday--internet, phone, and DirecTv. They STILL owe me money! Its been three free months now. I may have to pay some next month, but whatever I did, its saved me over $600 so far. Woo-hoo!

Still no sign of the missing earring. I've made such a mess looking for it!

BF is off to the movies. He wants to see Devil. He's smart enough to know that its not my kind of movie. Dear John is coming up in an hour on Starz so I can watch my chick flick in peace!

I didn't know Walter had asthma. How old is he now? We think BL has it too. He is 2. He hasn't been officially diagnosed yet, but he's on an inhaler (Flovent) every morning and night as a "preventative" and it seems like every couple of weeks he's back on his nebulizer on the albuterol too. I'm actually going to be speaking to the Dr. about it at his annual exam tomorrow. (We pushed it back a few weeks in hopes that they would have the flu shot in and we wouldn't have to go back just for that.) I'd like to try something else instead of constantly doing the nebulizer. And, the last 2 times we've used the albuterol, he's gotten a terrible upset stomach. The first time, we assumed it was related to the cold, but now, we're thinking it might be a side effect of the medicine. I dunno... Its frustrating.

That sounds like a great plan! And you got some great ressies! You'll have to let me know how Tusker House and Chef Mickey are. I'm tired just thinking of an entire day at the parks...but the boys will love it! I'm so excited for all of you!

Lighttech - your trip sounds so fun. We ate at Chef Mickey and it is one of our favorite. Especially for breakfast. If you get a real early ressie (7-7:30am) you can almost have the characters to yourself. We did. They even played out a mini skit for us.
DS12 (9 at the time) gave a kiss to Minnie when she came to our table. She signed to us not to tell Mickey cuz he would get jealous. So when Mickey came to our table DS8 (5 at the time) loudly proclaims to Mickey that Nick has been kissing Minnie. He pretented to get jealous and Goofy slapped his head with a napkin while Donald just laughed. It was so cute.
There was a big variety of food too. We thought it was very good. Kids especially liked the topping bar where they could eat gummybears for breakfast.

I'll let you know about Tusker, MK.

We've done Chef Mickey's before. The food is pretty good. Not amazing or anything, but solidly good. We usually go because its a great way to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald (sometimes) and Goofy. And the interactions have always been good.

I'd love to go as early as you D, but we tend to pull some late nights at WDW, and getting the kids moving that early might be a challenge. Although, we'll see how this year at CM goes. I was bummed when they pulled Chip n' Dale out. And, I don't know if you saw, but Mickey is no longer doing tableside there. I'm sort of torn on my reaction. He'll be up front for a family photo op as everyone comes in now. The picture opportunity will be great, but I always thought the table time was pretty special.

We got a great "Kitty" bargain this week. .

Alright, since we're all such good bargain hunters now. :rotfl: I'm searching for a great deal on a Joovy Ultralight Caboose (its a Sit n' Stand stroller) to use w/ the kids at Disney in March. I don't care if its used as long as its in reasonable condition. I'm keeping an eye on Ebay and Craigslist right now, but if anybody sees any great deals... :rolleyes1

We had to deal with that in our yard. The previous owners were going for a "natural look" and seemed to just randomly plant things everywhere. We spent the first two years just digging things out of the yard and translplanting them.

.

Will check out Target if I have time!

So sorry about the earring. I hope it turns up!!! Worst case scenario, don't totally panick. You can always take a single earring to a good local jeweler and ask them to turn it into a pendant for you. Most can handle something like that. And, you'd still have a special rememberance of her. But, I hope you find it anyway!
