I'm home and caught up. It did seem like a lot to read through. Glad no dh's were injured over the weekend!

I never ssaw Xanadu either. Maybe we need to rent it for our TK dis meet!

Lighttech---how does that vacation go so fast? It's not even all planned and it feels like it's over? I feel like that too. It's almost why bother to go since you will end up depressed at the end anyway! BUT how can we say no to seeing Mickey?

I had a good dday subbing on Friday---I did end up with a sore throat.

Joke of the day!

A lawyer and a senior citizen are sitting next to each other on a long flight.

The lawyer is thinking that seniors are so dumb that he could get one over on them easy.

So the lawyer asks if the senior would like to play a fun game.

The senior is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines and tries to catch a few winks.

The lawyer persists saying that the game is a lot of fun. I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5. Then you ask me one, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500, he says.

This catches the senior's attention and to keep the lawyer quiet, he agrees to play the game.

The lawyer asks the first question. 'What's the distance from the Earth to the Moon?'

The senior doesn't say a word, but reaches into his pocket, pulls out a five-dollar bill, and hands it to the lawyer.

Now it's the senior's turn. He asks the lawyer, 'What goes up a hill with three legs, and comes down with four?'

The lawyer uses his laptop and searches all references he could find on the Net.

He sends e-mails to all the smart friends he knows; all to no avail. After an hour of searching, he finally gives up.

He wakes the senior and hands him $500. The senior pockets the $500 and goes right back to sleep.

The lawyer is going nuts not knowing the answer. He wakes the senior up and asks, 'Well, so what goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four?'

The senior reaches into his pocket, hands the lawyer $5 and goes back to sleep.


Gotta love those senior jokes!!!

D - SO funny!!! about the kids! (Sort of - I wouldn't have known what to do either.)

Dr. went fairly well. We're going to try upping his maintenance dose of the inhaler he does in the morning and at night, and he'll be starting on singulair once a day for a month to see if that helps too.

Just glad we're going to try something new... I was on the verge of switching doctors - but everything else has been great with this office.

Gotta run.

Even I feel badly for the UPS man. He delivered several boxes today. But I guess that its better that he made one trip. There have been some great sales online lately. Mom is trying to head to the Phils in November...so I bought some stuff for my nieces and cousins in anticipation of the holidays.

Filipinos take Christmas very, very seriously. There's already decorated and carolling on the tv. Even I think its excessive. But as soon as its the --BER months--watch out! Christmas is coming!

What to watch tonight? Its either Dancing with the Stars or House at 8pm. Hmm....

M&N, congrats on your picks this week. I missed watching the race. SIL and I were out shopping picking up kitty supplies.

MK, I haven't thought about Christmas yet. I have to make it through Halloween first.

D&D, your kids never cease to surprise me. My kids are always trying to find ways to get money. Except they usually ask me to pay them for the most mundane things...."Mom, I wiped up the water I spilled. Can I have a dollar?"

We have DWTS on. I'm kinda disappointed that Derek is teamed up with Jennifer Grey. He always seems to get someone with previous dance training.

I'm 80% House, 20% DTWS. It actually translates more to commercials 45%, shows of various natures 55%. When House ends, I'll probably go to DTWS, but I am interested in watching Lonestar. Its gotten a lot of buzz.

Brandi just danced and she did very well. So did Kyle Massey.

From what little I've seen, its a new soap opera type of show. a guy is a scam artist, married to two women and trying to take over a oil company. I think so, anyway.

I caught Brandi. I thought she did very well.

Oh my, Florence Henderson just flashed her bra. And they showed Jennifer Grey breaking down remembering Patrick Swayze.

I thought Bristol did really well. Its true, she's not a performer, but she gave a really great performance for a first timer. She also makes Mark Ballas look dainty. I didn't think she was so tall. Mark is really cute hugging her all the time.

I thought Bristol did well too. Like it was said, she is not a performer. She's been in the public eye but not anything like that.

Why is it when they have an older lady on here, she has to act so sex crazed? She looks great for her age and everything but sometimes it's just too much, IMO.

I was just wondering the same thing! Florence did great, but the old batty lady bit has been played out. They all are sex-crazed, potty mouthed. Why can't anyone be classy?

Flo's legs did look really good. How old is she? She aged really well.

And I would love to see classy on there for once.

Michael Bolton is a little too stiff. He needs to relax a bit. But boy can he wear a suit. He looks great.

Yeah, he was stiff. I thought the judged were very nice in their critique of him. Sometimes they are so harsh but they really gave him good advice.

They are being really nice. Even Bruno, who gets a little snarky.

The Situation did well considering the circumstances. He looks totally different to me. I watch Jersey Shore every week and never realized he had blue eyes. I like him though. More of his personality has come through this season at the Shore. And its not skeevy like I thought it would be.

I didn't really care for him but then I'm not a big fan of Jersey Shore. We watch it every week.

I really want to see Jennifer dance. But I do think it's a little harsh that they picked a song from Dirty Dancing for her to dance to.
