Hey! I'm about to take my web interview soon, anyone have any tips on how to be successful?! / What are the types of questions they ask?

Thanks!:thumbsup2

The types of questions they ask focus on your work ethic, your attitude, your energy level, and how you relate to people. They fall into categories such as whether or not you show up to work on time, whether you're more positive or negative, whether you're a people-person or a loner (or something in-between)... things like that.

A lot of questions will come up more than once, only they'll be phrased a little differently each time ("I hate being late" vs "being on time is important to me," etc). That seems to be Disney's way to make sure you're answering consistently and honestly. You'll want to make sure you read each question carefully so you don't accidentally select an answer that's the opposite of what you meant to say.

Some people recommend answering only in extremes ("strongly agree/disagree") and to avoid giving neutral answers. However, I gave my share of neutral answers and mild agree/disagree answers when it seemed warranted, and I passed it twice.

Good luck!

EDIT: Actually, I have some other tips...

Try to do it when you're alone, relaxed, and can take your time. It's probably a bad idea to take the web interview when someone is hovering over your shoulder, which could be distracting. Especially if they try to pressure to answer a certain way, which could lead to inconsistent answers that ruin your chances. (I've heard of stories like that, anyway.)

I like to psyche myself up and get into a proper "Disney mood" beforehand, like listening to Disney music or watching fun Disney videos on YouTube. Not necessary, but it takes the edge off my stress and gives me positive, fuzzy feelings. :)

Make sure to read each question multiple times to make sure you understand what it's asking. They will ask the same question multiple times but change the wording around so it's important to remain consistent. Answer truthfully because they can probably tell when you're just answering the way you think they want you to answer. Take it somewhere that's quiet as well and free of distractions. Parts of it are timed but don't let it worry you, you have enough time to read the question a few times in the time limit. Just answer honestly and take your time and you will be fine!

Ha, that's what I listened to right before taking all my interviews. It must do the trick!
