Yet again, Brunch at Palo is sold out for both at sea days on our upcoming Southern Caribbean cruise on the Magic.

You all had such good tips for me on how to book the Palo brunch once we got on the Wonder in February and we didn't have any trouble getting it once we got on board (we headed straight to the French Quarter Lounge once we boarded and got Palo brunch on a sea day with no problem!)

Thank you all in advance! :)

It’s exactly the same on the Magic - French Quarter Lounge is the equivalent of Promenade Lounge on the Magic. Just head there.

Side note: rumour has it that Promenade Lounge is getting a retheme but we don’t know if this is true or what the retheme will be.

Ok that was my guess as well- just head to Promenade Lounge! It is nice to get the confirmation though! Is it the same direction? Once I get on the ship, pass the atrium and turn left?

Before you head off there though, check on the online Navigator when in the terminal. Sometimes they do move them to different locations between cruises. We've rarely seen the dining change location be in the same place on different cruises/ships.

If nothing is available when you board, get on the waitlist. I’ve had good luck getting in once the cruise is underway, people’s plans change and they cancel.

Where would I find this on the navigator/what would it say? I don't remember seeing anything like this when we boarded our cruise on the Wonder in Feb. Thanks!

People realize they can't hardly stomach more food! 🤣 by the time I leave the ship all I want is a bowl of bland cereal 🤣.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you exactly where. I remember seeing something but since we weren't making any changes, I didn't fully register it. Maybe you can just ask someone in the port building or a CM as soon as you board. Maybe it was in the dining tab? Sorry - I just saw it in passing and I know in previous years it hasn't always been in the same spot cruise to cruise or ship to ship.

I am pretty sure it is just in the onboard activity listings. Since it was based on the time it starts, if you board later you might not notice it unless you scroll back up to 12:30/1 whenever it starts for your cruise.

Dining changes/Palo Brunch personnel usually arrive in Promenade Lounge around 12:00-12:30 and stay until about 2:00. If no one is there yet you can wait because a line will form. We went into Rapunzel and had lunch and I left lunch a few minutes before noon and got in the line. It already had a few people on it. There is usually a CM (once they get there) who will ask what you want to do and then direct you to the right line to wait.

I have seen it most recently in Promenade Lounge (October 2022) but it has been set up in Fathoms on other Magic cruises so ask once onboard where it will be.

That is all very helpful. Thank you. I asked a random CM once I got on board he Wonder and they looked like they had no idea what I was talking about lol, so I just headed straight to the French Quarter Lounge after that so as not to waste any more time.

And we have been very lucky onboard in getting Palo Brunch. We often book last minute so there never is Palo availability before we sail but have a good success rate in getting it once onboard. We have been shut out before but that was a mostly adult guest cruise.

We were on the last sailing before the Magic went to dry dock - I was surprised at how many things we could add to our schedule when we got to the port. We had a port arrival time of noon and when we got there we could add brunch or tastings before we even go to security.

So yes - check the navigator as suggested here - but also just check to see if it’s available before you board too!

We did Palo Brunch on the Magic recently - our server mentioned that they really limit how many bookings they take in advance and so there are often a decent number available on embarkation. Good luck and have an amazing time!
