Tip Bell Services at drop-off or pick-up?

* My question is not about how much to tip, but rather the etiquette of when.*

I’ll be dropping a bag at Bell Services this weekend after an early AM flight so I can head out to the parks. Is it typical to tip when you first drop your bag, or when you retrieve it? I’ve always done the latter, but I feel badly if it’s not the same person who helped me earlier. Thanks for any info!

Good question.... We do at pick up / upon delivery to our room.

Both for us, since it is usually a different person, but we have a few bags not just one.

I always tip the person who brings me/gives me my bags. I think they pool the tips.

We usually carry our bags, but tip both ends when we ask them to carry bags.

It depends a little on the type of service though.

I don't generally tip if I didn't ask them to carry my bags. If we pull up to the curb and I say, "No, we don't need help with our bags," and they pick up bags anyhow, I don't always tip (or else tip a lesser amount than I would if I asked for service).

Only when they deliver. Just like checking your coat at a fancy restaurant or valeting your car. The service hasn't been rendered until you get it back.

We never used this service at a value resort. Do they provide this for you as well? We'll do it ourselves if the room is ready.
