Tinkerbell's Flight at MK Question

My daughter, who was Tinkerbell in her pre-school's rendition of Peter Pan last year insists on watching Tinkerbell's Flight as the fireworks begin in MK.

Of course, I'm concerned with being able to view the fireworks and parade, too.

Would those of you who have perfected the art of coordinating this feat please let me know what the options are for this sort of viewing and which of the spots worked best for you?

I'd appreciate knowing. This will be my first WDW trip and I'd hate for my daugther to miss her more intimate connection to the Magic of Magic Kingdom. (When she watches a Disney video, she always identifies with Tinkerbell "She important. She's not the star of the movie, but she makes the movie magic happen."

ps. She was disappointed to hear that she could not in fact meet Tinkerbell at a character breakfast. I explained that just like when she (my daughter as Tinkerbell) pulled Wendy's hair, she's there, but she's not always seen. She's a "pipsie" (she still has trouble pronouncing "pixie".

If any of you know if Tinkerbell is meetable somewhere, please let me know pronto!

Tinkerbell doesnt start the fireworks anymore, but she is in the fireworks show. Stand in the middle of main street and you wont be able to miss her. She'll be on the right of the castle and she'll fly soon after the fireworks start. This was the first time we were able to see her and it was fantastic! Tinkerbell to the best of my knowledge doesnt meet and greet but if you go into Tinkerbells Treasures in the MK (its a store near the castle) you can watch sparkles move around the walls and through the trees in the store. You can even hear them. Its Tinkerbell flying through the store. My kids had a blast with that. They called her name over and over and the sparkles would flash. It was very cute! Have fun!

I was reading here about waking Tinkerbell up. You have to be in the park when it first opens and head to Tinks shop. She will get to wake her up and see her light flash all over the room. Look into that one.

KIS, there's a thread also in this forum regarding the optimal spot for watching Wishes. I believe the area around the central hub is the consensus spot.

If it is the same as when we were there last summer, we stood on the bridge going to Tomorrowland. Even though some of the fireworks were a little abstructed by the trees when the time came for Tinkerbell to fly down from the castle she litterally flew right over the tops of our heads.

That's it. It's the bridge that leads to Tomorrow Land. I've never been able to get a good picture though. If you have a camera with a zoom lens and a good flash, that might help.

In front of Casey's Corner is another good place to watch the fireworks (and Tink). Just make sure you have a clear view of the castle and there are no trees in your way.

Another thing, remember that Tinkerbell can't fly if it's too windy or raining out, it's just not safe for a little pixie like her, so take the weather into consideration when you're planning on what night to watch Wishes.

Thank you to you all. The concensus does seem to be around the central hub, with some favoring nearer to Tomorrowland.

I will have to wait to scout out the area and get back to others.

Make sure you take her to the Tink shop be there early, and if she is the first little girl there ask cast members if tinker bell is awake yet and if she is not then ask if your daughter can wake her, i think they also give her a certificate, it will make her day!

We will be at WDW in two weeks!! Does anyone know what time Wishes will show? Is it the same on every night (we will be there Sun, Mon, Tue and Wed nights before we head to the port to board the Wonder on Thursday).

Perhaps there is a website with time of the dispaly? Thanks for any help you can give.

Dear eeldermom1:

You bet she would like it.

Do you happen to know what time that store opens? If not I wonder where I can find that out.

What is involved in waking Tinkerbell there, anyway?

Perhaps it will work out for our itinerary.

My DD loved waking Tink! There's a wand and her special sleeping box. They wave the wand toward the box and say "Wake up Tinkerbell". It's so cute! We'll definitely try to do this again.

one of the best spots to see tink fly up close is if u stand on main street right by the walk way into tomorrow land. i usually stand there when filiming and taking tink pictures. what's really cool is that she will fly right over you.

to view Tinkerbelle. She will fly DIRECTLY OVER your heads. When you are facing the castle, take the bridge on your right towards Tomorrowland.... about 1/3 of the way across the bridge you will see the "Plaza Rose Garden" on your left. Take that path in a short way..... do not bear off to your right, but walk almost directly in and stop at the fence, facing the castle. If you look up you will see the wire for Tinkerbelle right over your head. That is a GREAT spot for the fireworks as well, although keep in mind, they will be to the right of the castle, not behind it as it would appear if you were on Main Street. My family and I sat there last week and it was great. We were right up to the fence, so there were no heads/bodies in front of us. We staked out our spot about 6pm for the 7pm fireworks show. We probably could have waited until about 6:30, but we REALLY wanted to be sure we had THAT spot. Another family with a group of small girls came in about 6:45, but we were able to make room for all of the kids to stand at the fence. We also saw the fireworks from further down the Tomorrowland bridge earlier in the week without scoping out a spot in advance. It was good, but a bit crowded. Hope this helps!.......................P

I thank you all for the Tinkerbell flight suggestions.

I'm still not too sure what time this Wake up Tinkerbell thing is.
Anyone know?

Look up sometime during the day as you walk between the hub to tomorrow land. You'll see a cable running down from the castle. Pick a spot where you have a clear view of the cable and you'll have a great view of Tinkerbell as she flys.

I think Tinkerbell's Treasures opens at 9:00. You could check with guest services. We woke up Tink about 10:00 one morning after breakfast at CRT. We tried on our last trip but each morning we were too late. It is on our to do list in May. Good luck!

If I remember correctly, Tinkerbell's Treasures opens when the park opens. You have to be the first child into Tinkerbell's Treasures to have the honor of waking Tink up.

Hopefully, while everybody is making a beeline to Dumbo, you can duck into Tinks with your daughter. I tried twice during our trip in October but were just beat out by another child. My DD had no idea why I was dragging her into Tinkerbell's Treasures so fast each time!! LOL!

Have a great trip!

Wouldn't Dumbo be more exciting to a kid who has never been to WDW than a chance in the Wake Up Tink Lottery?
