Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

I hope you know I'm only kidding about CBR. Just because it does not appeal to us, I think Juliana is going to love the pirate rooms and the pool. Unfortunately, when we went to WCC there were no shenanigans going on -- and that included ketchup. I'll give you one little hint of what NOT to order: the skillet!
I know you are kidding. :goodvibes I hope it is warm enough to get in the pool. The kids section of the pool looks great for her. I hope she likes the pirate rooms.

There better be some CrAzInEsS going on at WCC. I saw on the DIS a list that had all the 'triggers' to get the CMs to go nuts at dinner. I need to find that.

We adored HDDR! So much good fun!

We loved HDDR too! We will go there again someday.... and drive ourselves!! :lmao:

I'm going to have to disagree here. We've eaten at WCC twice - once with the skillet, once without. I don't think you can go wrong either way. We thought the food in the skillet was good and it's all you can eat (That's a big selling point to us Wisconsin folk!). That being said, however, I do recall Tim saying several times in his TRs that "Mel and I split a meal" or "I couldn't finish all of that meal". So maybe the skillet is not your best option.
We split when we have big breakfasts or when we've been eating all day! LOL I'll have to see what's in the skillet again(I forgot) Believe you me that I can put down some food with the best of 'em!

Ok...here's the list of Disney Resorts...start crossing them off!
Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, Beach Club, BoardWalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Saratoga Springs, Treehouse Villas, Old Key West, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside, All Star Music, All Star Movies, All Star Sports, Pop Century
Optional: Swan & Dolphin
WHATS UP?????

Thanks for the list! I feel like there was more than this. 20 or 22 is a lot though. We'll have three down.. only 17 more to go?:scared1:

And Tim doesn't mind his thread being hijacked...we do it all the time.
I love the hi-jacking!!!! I get to sit back and watch all the twists and turns. Although it usually ends up with talk of me being a guy and how my DW is always right! :worship: :rotfl:

I still think Tim should splurge on the Poly at least for one night! Go ahead, make Mel's day!
I agree!!!!
Yea no problem! What's funny is the 8 days in a 3200 sqft house is costing me $590 and 2 nights at CBR is costing me $320 (or something like that) I would love to stay at the Poly but my wallet won't like it!

OK now I'm off to price it out! Thanks a lot! :furious:

EDIT:: It will cost me over $600 for the 2 nights at the Poly. Ummm not this time. :sad2:

You were smart to go with HDDR; I think you would have b een disappointed in WCC.

Now, I have to get over to your report...so much catching up to do.

I disagree too. I love WCC and we got the skillet. I thoguth the food was almost the exact same as HDDR though too. IN 2008 we ate at WCC one night and the next did HDDR and DH commented on how we had the same meal two nights in a row for the most part. The only thing I find gross at both is the cowboy beans. Those are some nasty things!

We've never done HDDR. All I know is our meal was the complete opposite of yours at WCC and it has joined Hollywood & Vine as one of two Disney restaurants we will never step foot into again. Getting sick once was enough for DH (and the service was terrible too--over two hours and we never even ordered dessert). But I'm glad that you and others like it.

I hate baked beans too! We left those on the table at HDDR!!!!! LOL :lmao:

I hope we have a good meal at WCC. Mel vowed never to step foot in H&V again. She hated breakfast there last year. I didn't mind it though. :confused3 I liked the make your own breakfast burrito. :)

We never did breakfast; we made the mistake of doing dinner -- not once, but twice. The place was filthy, service nonexistent, food mediocre...and that's when there was food -- they were very slow to replenish and it was luke warm.

I hope you like WCC too. I would just personally avoid the skillet. :)

OK- Here is a little recap of our days and plans.

Tuesday 3/16-Checking out of CBR and heading to MCO for a 4:38 back to White Plains landing at 7:15 :sad2:

We are still up in the air about staying with Mel's grandparents or getting a hotel. Obviously it would save us $300 or more if we stay with them.:surfweb:

I'm quoting myself because I forgot 2 ADRs that for some reason I didn't put on here.LOL I have 2 Kona breakfast ADRs! One on Friday 3/12 for just Mel, Juliana, and myself, and one on Monday 3/15 for the 3 of us. I CANNOT believe I forgot to put these in my schedule. :lmao:

You're entirely too welcome!! Just stickin' up for Mel. You know, a woman to woman thing. Just think how close the Kona would be and how much commute time you'd save.

How much is one night WITH your PIN??

You forgot 2! ADRs. And the most important ones, no less.

How can you forget about KONA!

and yes, I have one (for now) ADR at Kona for Breakfast, but 2 overall, as I am having dinner there as well.

I know... someday we will stay there.

A garden view rack rate is $495. So with my AP rate i get 40% off that so add tax and it is over $600! Theme park view is $680 per night. :scared1: I will have to keep saving to stay here!

Tell me about it!!

I have no idea how I forgot to include these! One of my favorites!

Have you gone through the menus yet? Do you have an idea what you want to eat?

We haven't eaten dinner here yet but I read all good things about it! :thumbsup2

For Breakfast: either the Tonga Toast or the Big Kahuna.

For Dinner: I haven't really checked out the menu too much for dinner.

Those Macadamia Pancakes looked good to me! Esp. with some sausage to round out the fat content. :thumbsup2 Add some of that lili something or rather potion, and there ya have it.

Good choices! The Big Kahuna is big (and yummy) and the Tonga toast is like having dessert for breakfast. MMMMMMMMmmmm

I've read people have sushi here for dinner- and all reports are it is pretty good. I'm not sure what I would eat if I had dinner here... there are a lot of things I would try. :confused3

I've had these before and they are great!!! Lilikoi juice is the best juice I've ever tasted! MMMMmmmmm

Now I wish I was there eating breakfast right now! :cloud9:

MMMMMMMMMM KONA!!

My ticker is at 49 days!!!!!!!!:yay::woohoo::yay:

I can't believe it is getting so close. I'm still checking prices of car rentals and they aren't getting any cheaper yet. I think I am going to book one with codes on the Alamo site and wait till about 10 days before and bid for one through priceline. A full size car worked good last time and I'm sure that is what we will book this time as well.

I'm thinking of making a packing list this time. :lmao:

I don't suppose tickets would be on there, would they?! :confused3:idea:

Cars.... I wouldn't even know where to start! Scares me, just thinking about it!

I think they will be #1 on the list in BIG BOLD LETTERS!

I hope I can score one for under $300 for the 2 weeks.
