Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

I booked 'Ohana for Sunday 3/14 for dinner. We might or might not be making this ADR because I'm not positive of our Sunday plans yet. We have to check out of the house, check into CBR, and probably meet up with her cousin & family. I don't think we will be going to a park on Sunday. I'm hoping we will be able to make this!

This is the day we get there! :woohoo:

This is the day we get there! :woohoo:

Are you guys planning a meet??

So, you may or may not make it to 'Ohana for dinner?? That would stink if you missed it. How can you be a month and a half away, and not have your plans done yet??!! :scared1:

Speaking of planning a meet, I'm getting a bit thirsty. Our plans are still a bit up in the air. When would work best for you to meet up for a frosty?

As far as the meet goes.. I'm not sure. LOL I'm not sure if our schedules are going to coincide with each other. It would be nice though.

Well I booked 'Ohana for Sunday night. I was going to book it for Monday night but I couldn't get Whispering Canyon for Sunday. So I'll keep WCC on Monday. The thing is on Sunday we are most likely going to spend time with Mel's cousin and family. Don't know if we will be at their house through dinner or what. :confused3:confused3

I'm going to re-post our schedule in the next post. So hopefully something will work. :confused3:drinking1

Your itinerary looks great! I just realized that you'll be in FL for almost 2 weeks! That'll be a nice break from cold CT weather, huh? :thumbsup2Isn't it nice to have family in FL so you have a good excuse to go there? :lmao: My DNephews (the ones that went on our Sept 09 trip) just moved to Tampa, so we will be using that excuse a LOT. ;)

You may have already said, but how big is Mel's grandparents' house? It might save $, but will it save your sanity? :rotfl:

are you flying into Tampa and then out of Orlando? or are you driving back to Tampa on your last day (how far is that?)

I know Orlando has relatively inexpensive hotel rooms but not sure about Tampa. It would be great to save the $300, but the privacy is nice too.

I'm sure you checked crowd calendars before making these plans so as long as the crowds look good I think your plans are great.

Maybe DHS for that extra day? Possibly a Playhouse Disney ADR? The one with with Jo Jo's Circus and Little Einstein's.

Plans look great!! You guys will have such a fun time! Sorry you missed the ice show!

Gosh that sounds like such a fun trip. Your daughter and I share a b-day week, my b-day is March 14th. That cake looks beautiful, hope you can get it all worked out. I'll be anxious to hear how it all works out as I have also been checking into a cake for our trip in June. I'm getting so excited for your March trip, I can't wait for the TR. I def. want to see pics of the pirate rooms.

I'm still playing catch up on your PTR/TR though, I read a few pages last night and thought I posted but don't see it, so you got the new short version. ;)

Every trip gets a little bit longer. I'll shoot for 18 days next time! LOL I hope when we are there we have decent weather. I hope it is 80 every day! LOL

Mel's grandparents house is very small but it is only for 3 days and I can handle that. We will have to sleep in the same room as Juliana but we will make it work.

The plan looks great!
Thanks! How have you been? Have you started your PTR yet?:goodvibes

From Tampa we are driving south to Bradenton- about an hour. Tampa to Orlando is about an hour too. So Bradenton to Orlando is about 2 hours. When we leave we are flying out of MCO (Orlando).

I'm leaving the staying with grandparents up to Melody. It is her call. What ever she wants to do.

My touring plans subscription ran out.:sad2: Now I have to wait till 30 days out to see what's up. I did base our days the best I could on the predictions. I think we will probably just do a CS for lunch and eat breakfast and dinner at out rental house.

Plans look great!! You guys will have such a fun time! Sorry you missed the ice show!
Thanks! The girls said they had a great time.

I'm still looking for cakes.. I haven't settled yet. The TR will be crazy I'm sure. I wonder how long it is going to take me to write this one. PRobably a month! LOL

I hate when a post goes missing. Sorry you lost one. Thanks for coming back! I took a little break from the DIS but now I need to get all the rest of my plans... and you all can help! :goodvibes

Sounds great--except for your resort choice. lol :)

I'll be interested to know what you thought of WCC (we went September 2008).

Hey Kathy! Thanks for checking in!

LOL I think we are fairly easy to please. Put us in a clean room and we are good to go! I hope we like CBR- I'm sure we will. We will have 3 resorts down and __ to go! How many different resorts are there on property anyways? I think I'm going to miss the queen sized beds though.

I'm curious to eat at WCC. Mel really wants to eat here. I haven't checked the menu out in a while... I'm not sure what I'm going to eat.:confused3 All I know is I know one of us is going to need ketchup! :lmao:

We almost did WCC, but splurged for HDDR instead.

I think they'll like CBR, like you say Tim, gotta try them all! ;)

I vote for staying with the Grands. $300 is $300! That's SEVERAL WCCs!!

I hope you know I'm only kidding about CBR. Just because it does not appeal to us, I think Juliana is going to love the pirate rooms and the pool. Unfortunately, when we went to WCC there were no shenanigans going on -- and that included ketchup. I'll give you one little hint of what NOT to order: the skillet!

You were smart to go with HDDR; I think you would have b een disappointed in WCC.

I just like to give Tim a hard time about CBR. He knows that it is the last resort at Disney we would stay at (along with the GF). I think Juliana will get a real kick out of the pool though.

Now, I have to get over to your report...so much catching up to do.

We adored HDDR! So much good fun!

I know you give out some good natured teasing! Good for the soul. :)

I'll be up with the lights on. :rotfl:

I'm going to have to disagree here. We've eaten at WCC twice - once with the skillet, once without. I don't think you can go wrong either way. We thought the food in the skillet was good and it's all you can eat (That's a big selling point to us Wisconsin folk!). That being said, however, I do recall Tim saying several times in his TRs that "Mel and I split a meal" or "I couldn't finish all of that meal". So maybe the skillet is not your best option.

And is probably an odd place to ask this, but it won't be the first time Tim had a PTR hijaked. I see you live in Carol Stream. We're heading down there on Saturday, and I thought I heard someone say that you can't go from Southbound 355 to Westbound North Ave. Is that right? Thanks!

Ok...here's the list of Disney Resorts...start crossing them off!
Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, Beach Club, BoardWalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Saratoga Springs, Treehouse Villas, Old Key West, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside, All Star Music, All Star Movies, All Star Sports, Pop Century
Optional: Swan & Dolphin

See, we hated the skillet. I thought the food was gross and my husband got sick on either the chicken or the ribs--the only thing I didn't eat after being disgusted by the other food (and I'm not the only one...a friend ate there and he got sick too).

Okay, just hung up with hubby. He said you can take Southbound 355 and get off on Westbound North Avenue. It is on 290 that you CANNOT do that. He said you will have to pay a toll, however.

And Tim doesn't mind his thread being hijacked...we do it all the time.

I still think Tim should splurge on the Poly at least for one night! Go ahead, make Mel's day!
