Okay...what's the scoop on this attraction? I heard it's pretty bad...then heard they re-did it and it's better. Opinions please?!!!
Thanks!

I happen to love the Tiki Room.... I'm not sure why some people hate it! Its fun!

My 3 DS's love it. I think it is a cute show and being able to sit down and rest in air conditioning makes it even better.

That's what I said during my last trip. The Tiki Room was one of those attractions I'd never bothered to try, having heard very mixed (at best) reviews. But when I finally decided to give it a try, I wound up enjoying it. Now I'm not saying it's a "wowzer" or even on my "must-see" list, but it was cute and enjoyable and I was pretty glad I went. I'll probably do it again on my next trip (I'm putting together a list of attractions I either have never seen or have only done once, and trying to hit as many of those as I can).

I was just like jerseydizdreamer. Just never bothered with the Tiki Room. Finally tried it last trip and I loved it. Only bad thing - it is hard to get that song out of your head. "In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room. In the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room. . . . . ."

I liked it a lot better before it was "Under New Management". :( It's still pretty cute though.

I love The Tiki Room. It's a cute, fun show. Try it, the wait usually isn't long at all.

I agree with the rest. It is a cute show with usually a short wait and a nice break from the heat. Not a must do though.

A word of warning though... if you've been having trouble with fussing kids on your trip just skip this. My impression was.. ohmygosh now I've got to sit here and listen to these birds fussing! Love the way the show used to be .

I like it as classic Disney. A bit corny, but so is a lot of Disney. Hard to not come out smiling.

We like it. Even though I didn't like the idea of them tinkering with a classic, I think the new version is great. Make sure that at the end, you stay in the room as long as the CM's let you to listen to all the talk that goes on after the show. Most people more right out and miss it all. There's some funny stuff to be heard.

I really think that the "bad" reviews come from those who have a previous version to compare it to. We almost all, without fail, like the first version of something we like whether it is the "original" or not. To us, if it is our first time to see, hear or do it, it IS the original for us.

We all enjoy it, and it is the one classic attraction that 14 DS must do several times on a trip.

I think that it is a very fun relaxing show. I agree that if you have little kids who are fussing you might want to wait until they have calmed down. But it might make them laugh but be aware that in the beginning there is a "thunderstorm" so if they might be afraid of storms then you might want to skip it. :earsgirl:

Hey Mickey, I feel the EXACT same way. I LOVED the original and was not too thrilled with the "under new management." however, it's still pretty cute and worth seeing.

Tiki Room is my DH's favorite attraction in the MK. I like it , too. Give it a try.

I was not a huge fan of the original, I did not dislike it but it never really floated my boat.

I appear to be in the minority who prefer the new version. Give it a try, you don't have to wait long and you get to sit down in the cool. Plus it's quite amusing.

It is a must see for us - we loved the original - and on our first trip back after the Under New Management - we skipped it, based on the reviews.

Saw it finally - and like it almost as much as the original. Great Classic Disney fun - good music - audio animatronics, and that special Disney magic. It is especially good in the hot summer time - best AC in town!

The Enchanted Tiki Room is a classic must see! We love it and would never miss it. We walk around signing songs from it for the rest of the day.

If you don't like it, it's only 15 minutes out of your day. :D

...in the tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room...

I liked the original verson more than this current one. It is a neat attraction and shouldn't be overlooked.
