I spent forever reading throught the Tie Tye Mickey Head thread. I love the idea. Someone posted the picture below and said they used fabric paint to make Tink and Stitch. I would love to try to make these for our February trip, but I am not very creative. I am good at following directions, but not figuring things out. Do you think I would Tie Dye first and then use the fabric paint to make the characters or do the charcaters first and then Tie Dye?
Thanks for the help!

I'm planning on doing the same thing for our trip in June. At first I thought I would just tie dye the shirt and then iron on a transfer in the middle. But then I thought that would look too 'busy". Anyway, from the photo you posted, it looks like the Tink and Stitch were done first, then separated (like the Mickey Head on the other shirts?) before dying the rest of the shirt. OR you could just draw the character on, tie it off and cover it with plastic wrap for protection, dye the rest of the shirt, THEN do the fabric paint on the protected section. Just some ideas for you...I'm still thinking on mine.
