Finally I made a random freehand shirt with some of the dyes I had left over -

The iron on design is from one of the DISigners here but I don't remember which one right now. :)

Hello Tie Dye Pals! I made some more shirts this weekend - since my August trip had to be rescheduled until December I made some christmas shirts!

Tulip Black - I was nervous that the Black wouldn't turn out but it looks great! Ture Black!

I have only used the Tulip dyes becuse thats all I have local at michaels or Joann's around her (with my 40% off coupon of course)

I really want to try the Dharma dyes but I really don't have a need to Tie Dye anything else! :rotfl2:

That's fine, tulip is not bad, use less water in the bottles if you aren't making lots of shirts and it can look good too.
Your shirt looks cool, the ears came out sharp and pretty! Good job. Like the contrast of the darker color on the ears with the rest of the shirt and your spiral is cool too.

Is lead pencil OK to use to trace the design on the shirt. I went out today and bought everthing I needed and now I'm ready to start and I can't find a marker that washes out, what kind of homeschool mom am I. Thanks
Kathleen

I used pencil before, just do press hard, but it would be better if you use a washable fabric pen, you can find them at wal mart in the fabric deparment. Those work great.

Hi, everyone! Just checking in to say I'm loving all the shirts you're posting.

PixieDust, love the Halloween ones. As a matter of fact, I liked your color combos so much, I decided to try it! My next round I think I'll go for some more Christmas colors, like dawnandnala. Those came out great! :thumbsup2

I actually have a batch of shirts sitting now, and a set that I don't think I've posted here yet. So, I'll go ahead and put those up as soon as I get them uploaded. :goodvibes

I hope you're all having a great Labor Day weekend!

Has any one done this with just one color or one color scheme? DH doesn't care for Tie dye too much so I thought if I did Boys shirts in just an aqua blue with a medium amount of white showing, or two shades of blue or something, and girls shirts in pink or pink and red or purple.

What does everyone else think???

You can do that too, one color would be fine as well.
