Tie Dye Instructions for Spiral Mickey Shirt

Does anyone know what the formula is for mixing up the soda ash (Sodium carbonate) with water? I just purchased the pH plus and can not remember how much to add to the water. Thanks for the help.

One cup per gallon of water.

hey pixie
do you use a bleach pen to outline your mickey head after the dye is complete, or do you use a resist product before dyeing? There is always that perfect white outline around your mickey head! It really sets it off! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

I had never used resisit, I want to try it whenever i get some time :) some i do use the bleach pen, some come out just perfect and don't need to. With tie dye you never know what the results would be, the ones that show the stitchs came out perfect. Sometimes it depends on the colors too.

For example this one came out just like that, I didn't use anything else, I think practice makes perfect, dunno. Also the girls tank top, the one with the purple ears, same thing. Others come our right, but i make the lines if request it.

Has anyone used a tie dye product called "Jacquard"? They sell it at JoAnn's . I have a coupon there and want to try it, but hadn't heard of the brand before. I want to use primary colors (which I didn't see with Tulip)... any suggestions?

I have. The color selection is great! Just make sure to soak in the soda ash for the brightest look.

many thanks! I will go grab the Jacquard dye today and plan to tie dye this weekend! :scared1:

Go for it! The kit has the primary colors and you can make other colors with those of course, they are bright and pretty! Use your cupon, the kit is like $20.00 bucks.

It feels like halloween already :yay:

Boo to you
