We’re at the world now and just went to Epcot yesterday. The price calendar said 159$ plus tax but when I checked our it was like 185$ plus tax.
The only thing I can think of is is I bought them the night before

Were you looking ahead at prices but then purchased the same day you were going to the park? I’ve heard if you wait and purchase the same day you are going to the park, prices are higher.

"Gate price" -- what you pay if you walk up to a ticket booth -- tends to be ~$20 higher.

Also were you looking at EPCOT price specifically? Or just the calendar that said $159? The calendar lists the lowest price with is typically AK with the other parks costing a bit more. Like today is showing as "$154+" in the calendar view (where you choose how many days) but the actual prices are $154 for AK, $164 Epcot, $174 DHS and $179 MK.

AAA is an authorized reseller for WDW tickets. You should not have any problem with them.

Thanks. I bought them over the weekend. Unfortunately, AAA adds their own fees, and only ended up being $100 cheaper for two 5 day hopper passes. At least I got them linked ok.

An upgrade should be possible to do in-person, but you'll only receive credit for the amount you paid -- and depending on exchange rates at the time you upgrade that may not be favorable to you vs just buying an AP. Also keep in mind that the UK 14-day ticket doesn't have a US-equivalent and comes with some "extras" that you may be required to add-on to the AP if you upgrade after first use (waterparks, memory maker, etc.). My recommendation is to just buy the AP initially and don't bother with the 14-day tickets.

Where would be the cheapest place to buy DAH tickets? I checked out Sams Club (we are members) and Undercover Tourist with the Mousesaver discount. Both were $172 with tax vs. the Disney price of $185. Would this be the best available deal? Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a discount code for Boardwalk ticketing? Looking for 3 day hoppers for upcoming may trip and saw at checkout theres a box for discount code. We prefer the actual ticket mailed home, and then we will use them to upgrade to AP's again. We let ours lapse.

If someone has an AP but aren't going for a while- under what circumstances does it make more sense to renew for the discount VS waiting and buying again?

Can discount tickets still be upgraded over the phone?

Trip advisor used to have tickets for 10-12% off ( no longer have working codes for that) for lower ticket prices that would make up for the renewal discount.

Trying to figure out how to do the following without breaking the bank:

Split stay. Four in the party.

First 4 days two in our party are staying for 4 days and will need 3 days of tickets and then flying back.

Entire 8 days the other 2 will need 6 days of tickets.

Is there any way I can accomplish this in one transaction? At this point I cannot figure out a way.

I guess I could buy 6 days for all 4 of us and have left-over tickets for the next trip.

Any other ideas to accomplish this without processing 2 purchases?

So on my 5 day trip, I will only have 2 full days in the parks. The other 3 are only for 4-5 hours due to a convention. Is it possible to buy 2 days of park hopper tickets and 3 days of 1 park? Or can you not link different types of tickets to the same reservation?

My bad, I should have priced it out first. It looks like it would be cheaper just to do park hopper every day..

Unless your Convention offers discounted Disney park tickets for partial days. Many offer them did you ask?

Unused days on partially-used dated tickets expire. For 6-day base tickets, you have to use all 6 days within 9 days of first use. Add the water parks and sports option (or park hopper plus) and you get an extra day . But unless the "next trip" for the two members of your party who are "flying back" is immediate, those unused days will be lost. There may be exceptions for special tickets and/or special circumstances (like if a hurricane comes through), but it doesn't sound like those apply. It sounds like you just don't understand that Disney did away with no expiration date tickets a long time ago.

I don't know whether you can buy both 3-day tickets and 6-day tickets using the Disney website in the same transaction.

You can buy the two 3-day tickets and the two 6-day tickets to get what everyone needs. You should be able to do it as 1 transaction, just get the first ticket type all the way to your cart before going back to select the 2nd ticket type. But it can also be done as separate transactions. What you cannot do is buy different tickets as part of a room+tickets package.

My AP expired yesterday. My next trip will is 4/5. I didn’t renew, I bought a new AP last week. Reason - I hope to go next February for Universal’s Mardi Gras and then Disney. Not sure the date but likely after 2/8. By buying new, I will activate 4/5 and it will expire 4/5 next year vs a renewal expiring 2/8. I bought last week so I could make reservations.
