If I buy a 4 day base ticket from UCT, then decide partway thru my trip I want to add a 5th day, that's doable, right? I'm just not sure of what that would cost vs just buying the 5 day ticket upfront
Correct, that is doable. The credit towards upgrade will be equal to the price WDW sold the same 4-day base ticket online at the same time you buy from UT. So just check the price on WDW at the time you buy from UT. You should retain whatever savings you initially had by buying from UT.

Disney After Hours
I searched the forums several times but couldn’t find my answer. Please bear with me as I try to ask this question in a semi-intelligent manner.

I am planning to book our WDW vacation soon (6 days in the parks) and I am considering DAH event tickets at MK for one evening but I am confused on how to use the DAH event ticket and not a regular park ticket. The MK DAH event would be in the middle of our trip.

If we weren’t going to the DAH event I would buy a 6-day park ticket. Now that we are planning to go to MK’s DAH event one night I am considering only buying a 5-day park ticket and having a rest day before we head to MK’s DAH event. My thought is that I am offsetting the cost of the DAH event by reducing the number of regular park tickets by one day. That would allow us to take it easy and enjoy our resort most of the day before heading to MK’s DAH event that evening. Here is my confusion: when we head in to MK for the DAH event at 7pm how do I make sure that we use the DAH ticket and not one of our regular park tickets? I don’t want to be short a regular park ticket later in our trip.

Thanks!

There will be a turnstile designated as party entrance. It will only use a party ticket.
I wondered about this went I recently attended a Jollywood Party. I checked the tickets in my MDE after we gained entrance to make sure they didn’t use one of my park days. You should consider looking at your account after you enter. If there ever is a problem, go to Guest Services immediately. They can fix it for you.

Any chance you plan to stay at a WDW resort? Tickets bought as a package with a resort stay will be valid for the full length of stay.

Otherwise, you’ll either need to adjust your plans to group the WDW days closer, or buy separate 1-day tickets.
Thank you. Sadly we are not staying at a Disney resort this time around 😔

To tell you the truth, a 3-day ticket isn't really much (if any) savings vs 3 separate one-day tickets. You'll just have to plan exactly which dates for the single-day tickets because those date-specific.

If I were to purchase 3-day 1-park-per-day tickets w/the water park & sports option, could we go to a water park on a different day that we are NOT going to a theme park? I can't tell from the WDW website.

Hi, I have bought a British 14-day ticket. Has anybody experience with upgrading those tickets to AP? Is that supported?

I believe you can upgrade those in person. You'll lose the "plus" options (waterparks, minigolf, etc.) or you have the option to add those to an AP for extra cost. If you use any of those prior to upgrading, you'll be required to add them on to the AP.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I will keep that in mind especially regarding the "plus" options.

I have a 4 day park hopper ticket as part of a hotel/ticket package for May of this year. I'd like to upgrade to an annual pass. Does it make more sense to do that before we go or when we get to Disney? I've read a lot of posts but am not quite sure what's the best option. Thanks for any advice here!

Since you have a room/ticket package, you can't upgrade prior to arrival. You would have to change to room only (if even possible at this point and you would lose any package discounts) and purchase tickets separately or upgrade after arrival.

It is possible to change and still have a discount - just wondering if it's worth doing that. Thanks.

Run the numbers. If you have a special offer package and/or can get a room-only discount, that might sway the decision one way or the other. I don't expect AP prices to increase this spring (never say never) since they just did in October. The only reason I can think to upgrade in advance is to get the theme park reservations out of the way rather than dealing with those onsite.

If I buy one-day tickets and then decide before the date that I want to upgrade to park hoppers, is it possible to do that on the website or app or by calling, or does it need to be done in a park or other guest services in person?

I'm trying to decide whether to buy now or wait until a week before to buy once we have info that will affect whether we want hoppers.

I purchased a 4 day hopper pass for my husband, daughter and myself with the window to use these passes are a Sunday-Saturday. We plan on going to the parks Wednesday-Saturday. We are not staying on site. Can I start booking Lightning Lanes three days prior to Sunday (when passes start) or three days prior to Wednesday (when we actually plan on going to 1st park? And can I book for those four days all at once, or do I have to do daily? We have family that is also going that week, but they are going to parks Sunday-Saturday and we are meeting up with them Wednesday. We are all linked together on App, so can they book for us Wednesday-Saturday when they do theirs so we can get on rides together? I'm confused.....

We have 2 upcoming trips- April with just me and DH and June with DH and 3 kids.
We have room only reservations for both.
DH and I plan to purchase APs before we go since it was slightly cheaper that hopper tickets for both trips and then park hopper for the kids for June.

Any downside to this other that needed park ressies for the two of us with APs?

I think I still need to activate these APs before we use them correct? Can I do this at MK since I will be at the Contemporary?

trying to figure out the best options and could use some advice. we have both old single day tickets (10+ years old) and 10 day non expiring park hopper with water park tickets. Going for 20+ days in the next 365 starting late January and we are DVC. Questions and opinions please.

Use the 10 day ticket and upgrade to a sorcerer pass (we are not water park people anymore)- Can you even upgrade a 10 day with water park to a sorcerer pass or do you have to get the incredipass?

Use a 1 day ticket and upgrade that to a sorcerer pass?
