@wdwshelby9 in addition to what @CarolynFH said... be sure to assign each of those tickets to each of the individuals going to the party. If they aren't already in your MDE, you'll need to either create a profile for each OR have them create their own MDE account and link to you. You (and each of them if they'd like) can download their ticket to the My Magic Mobile app to scan at the tapstile, or as suggested get a hard plastic ticket at the ticket window.

Hello! I have an annual pass question, please let me know if this isn't the right place to ask!

We have 1-day tickets for 12/7. Am I correct that if I upgrade to APs, they will apply the cost of our 1-day tickets to annual passes on that day and on that day only? We are out of state and would be the Incredi-pass (no blackout dates).

We also plan to be in the parks on 12/8, 12/9, 12/29, and 12/30. We are staying in Disney hotels on all of those days. Would we still need park reservations, and could we book them immediately after upgrading? My worry is that in December, the days might fill up, and we might suddenly have passes but not be able to get reservations, since we couldn't book the dates until the passes are activated/bought.

Thanks!

Since your 1-day ticket is only valid for the one day, yes you will need to upgrade it that day as it would be expired later.

You might be able to upgrade it in advance by phone.

I have a convention "after 5PM" ticket.

Can I enter any earlier, or is it only active EXACTLY after 5PM?

Hello, what’s the process to upgrade a ticket by phone?

Thanks!

Question I am sure has been asked before but I am looking at a 5 day park hopper plus for next summer with our first theme park park starting on July 13. The plan would be theme parks on July 13, 14,15, 17 and 18 with an off day on the 16th but we want to use a plus option for a water park on our arrival day of July 12.

It's been a while since we haven't had APs and used the plus option but am I correct to understand that we will have 8 days to use the 5 plus options and 5 theme park days as well?

Where are you staying? Note that on-site WDW resort stays all offer a free water park day on arrival day.

A 5-day base, base + sports, or PH is valid for 8 calendar days from the designated start date. The PH+ option adds an extra day, making it valid for 9 days:

5-Day Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option
Valid any 5 days from Sat, Jul 12, 2025 – Sun, Jul 20, 2025.
1 x Ages 10+ (785.73 USD$785.73/ticket)

I have been out of the loop for a while since we do not visit WDW as much as we once did. I would appreciate it if someone could answer a few questions.
I have several "very old"never used tickets (for example, some dated back to 2008). They all have been converted from the paper type to plastic and have never been entered into MDE account. They were issued before the"dated" tickets ever were issued. My first question, is if after they are entered into MDE and assigning a person, do I still have to make park reservations since I have the older tickets. And second, the best I remember, once we used all park visits on tickets there were PH, fun visit types, even though we had fun visits left after using the park days up, the fun visits did not appear in MDE account any longer.
Thanks for any answers, we are attending a few days in October, and will not use all the of 10 days, fun visits, that we have on the NON-Expiration tickets we will have.

Those particular tickets require park reservations.

I'll comment to this first -- are these actually NON-Expiration tickets? As in you paid the additional upcharge for them to not expire? Back in 2008, regular tickets expired 14 days after first use unless you purchased the no-expiration option.

1) Yes, a park reservation is needed for your first park of the day. You may then hop wherever/whenever you wish. But you do need to tap in at the park with a reservation before going elsewhere.
2) the answer to this may depend on above. Truly non-expiration tickets will continue to have the plus options available for a future trip even if all park visits are used. If they are regular tickets from back then, the whole ticket expires 14 days after first use, including any unused entitlements.

YES!!! They are truly the NON-EXPIRATION TICKETS - not the kind that expire after 14 days from first use. I must have had at at least 10-12 of the non-expiring kind with PH and fun visits. I used to buy them up, but usually ended up buying annual passes back then because we went 3 to 4 times a year. They are like having a gold mine today.

But I have noticed on the two non-expiring ones that are currently listed in my MDE account that they only show park days left--they do NOT say anything about the fun visits and I KNOW we still have fun visits on them. I guess I will have to take them to Member Services for them to look up the number of fun visits left.

And, after we enter the first park, can we then go to the second one without waiting to 2 pm like they were enforcing for a time??

Weird. I was just coming here to ask this almost exact question. We have the non expiring tickets (paid extra when purchased about 15 years ago). Like you the park days appear on the app. I also know we have 7 water park days left. This was confirmed with Disney when we converted them to the app

But also like you my water park days do not appear on the app. If I use all the park days this trip and decide next summer just to do a water park trip will those tickets be somewhere in cyber space on the Disney app so we can enter the water park.? Or do they disappear once all the park tickets are gone?

I have friends with those type of tickets. They have no theme park days left, but the tickets still shows in the MDE app because they have not used up all of the "Water Park Fun & More" entries yet.

I need help please. And thank you in advance, as I am not familiar with this new date based system. I already have some 10 day date based tickets that I bought from Trip Advisor that already expired under my family’s different accounts.
And now I just realized that we have 5 day tickets expiring tonight under everyone’s different accounts. I will prob end up combining these at some point for an annual pass for each person but here is my question….
Is there any benefit to not letting them expire tonight? Should I push the date forward for any reason?
A cast member told me that they could reassign them all under my name and then I could just let them expire at midnight tonight and I would then be able to reassign them if I need to even though they will be expired.
If that is true, then i guess thats ok. Should I combine them into annual passes now?
But is there any reason that you should not let them expire? Sorry if its not too clear, I am not feeling well and not thinking clearly.
Thanks so much!

By pushing out the date you will continue to be able to "see" the tickets and modify them. Once they expire usually they disappear from your view in MDE and it requires a call to update them. But if you don't have an upcoming trip planned there isn't any particular value in pushing out the dates. You may have to pay more to push out the date (that depends on the new dates).

I'm not sure your family has multiple MDE accounts, or you just mean each individual's profiles. If multiple MDE accounts and any belong to an adult -- that individual will be able to use the credit in their account even if you were the one who originally purchased the ticket. By putting them back into your account you will have control.

Should I combine them into annual passes now?
Typically ticket upgrades are a 1:1 basis -- meaning 1 old ticket upgraded to 1 new ticket/AP. They might let you combine both the 10-day and the 5-day to an AP but I wouldn't expect it. Also check your values because you won't be refunded if the ticket you end up with costs less than your credit. And be aware that AP vouchers expire 1 year from purchase (then the AP is valid for 1-year from first use), so I would not do that upgrade until you are certain you'll take a trip within the next 12 months.

Going to ask this here as it’s related to annual passes, but not park admission per se. Perhaps it’s too niche of a question, but someone here may have experienced it.

Does anyone know if you’re able to park your car at a theme park for free on a blackout date for your pass?

Specifically, we’re arriving Thanksgiving weekend Friday and we’re thinking of doing both a Skyliner hotel (via Studios) and monorail hotel hop to look at holiday decorations at hotels on the two days we’re not able to hit the parks. Just not sure if the blackout dates on our passes will permit that or not.

If it matters, we have the DVC Sorcerer passes.

I'm pretty sure I've seen reports that you can park and/or use any other AP perk (discounts) even on dates blacked out for park entry. You might want to confirm on the DVC forum since you have a Sorcerer's AP.

Also -- are you staying onsite? Onsite resort guests have free theme park parking as well.

We are staying onsite on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and, frankly, that will probably be the day that we do this hotel tour. I had forgotten about the hotel guests having free parking for some reason as I’m just used to thinking about it from an annual pass perspective.

Thank you!
