Ticket usage question

Let's say you purchased a package for 4 nights that included 2 days of park tickets, but you also had a single day ticket that had been purchased separately outside of the package. Could you use that single day during the time you are there with your package or are there any logistical issues with doing this? Basically, you'd have 3 park days but 2 of those days would be from the package and 1 day would be a single ticket. Does this work?

I know it's confusing, but there is a reason I may end up with a 3rd ticket outside of my package and I'm wondering if I could do this or if I'll run into any issues.

Should not be an issue. Previously there may have been an issue with prioritizing park tickets to the correct date(s) (for example if expiration dates were an issue or multiple tickets were on one account but NOT supposed to be used within the same trip like yours) but as I understand it park reservations are supposed to have taken care of that.

If the single ticket is a separate, physical ticket, it will be easy - just use that ticket to tap at the entrance on the day you want to use it. If both tickets are linked to you in MDE, and you’re using MB or phone to tap in, then I’d go to GR before you enter a park and have them prioritize the ticket you want to use that day, until the single-day ticket is used.

I'm going to try piggybacking onto this topic as I'm faced with a similar situation.

DVC member who previously was at least an annual WDW visitor, now on the west coast so DLR is my home. As such I've become a bit fuzzy on the workings of MDE since DLR's app works very differently. Family and I are going back to WDW for the first time in 3 years and have 15 nights booked in Sept/Oct. Was hoping for annual passes to go on sale, and still do, but our fallback plan is 10-day PH with waterparks, one night of MNSS, and possibly another 1 or 2 single park, one day tickets (probably at epcot as for the second week we'll be at BWV) depending on how many resort days we feel like taking. We have extended family joining for bits and pieces so we'll need at least 12 days worth of tickets.

So here is the question...if we have the 10-day park hoppers that are still valid, will I also be able to add a 1-day, 1-park ticket on MDE? And is there a way to prioritize that ticket for use without going to GR? Specifically, the plan would be to use the park hopper both before and after the single day (for example: Monday day 7 of 10-day PH, Tuesday use 1day pk, Wednesday day 8 of 10-day PH). Any advice from someone familiar with the logistics and policies would be helpful!

Also, if anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to add. (There's no such thing as a 12-day PH is there? pretty sure that's a no). Thanks!

Be aware that a 10 day ticket expires 14 days after the selected start date.
The plan would be to start it the day after arrival and use through the day before departure. 15 nights, 14 days, no parks on travel days. Thanks for the heads up though

Theoretically, your 1-day ticket will be date based so only usable on that date. However, I’ve read enough reports here of the wrong ticket being used that I would get to the park early enough to go to GR and have them prioritized that day. Sorry.

Yes, you can have the 2 separate tickets and use 1 in the middle of your stay. Supposedly the theme park reservation is tied to a specific ticket…but not sure if I’d trust that without a stop at Guest Services to prioritize.

I don't have a deep expertise but it might be worth looking into purchasing the 14 day UK tickets, which I think can be purchased by US residents you just need to go through the UK site. Maybe someone here has better expertise though.

ETA - Looks like this thread is talking a bit more about it with som conflicting reports but may be worth keeping up with

Wow this is a fantastic lead. Will look into it as it would be a perfect solution for us. Thank you!
