If we were to purchase tickets from, say undercover tourist, how does that work with hooking up to MDE? My wife has been since the magic bands started and the MDE, but not the rest of us. Just curious as we have only purchased tickets through Disney.

Do they mail tickets to you and you then have to wait until you get to Disney and customer service helps you or is it all electronic and you get some PIN number????

Thanks

It's super easy. I bought from UT this year (my 3rd time buying from them). They mail you the tickets. They are actual, physical, plastic credit-card-type tickets, just as you would buy at the gate at WDW. There is a serial number/code on the back of the ticket. Log into your MDE account and go to where you can link a ticket. The web page will show pictures of the backs of various kinds of tickets and you click on the one that looks like the back of the ticket you have. There is a place on the web page to enter the code on the back of the ticket (diagram will show you where to find the code on the ticket). Voila! Ticket should show up in your MDE.

Apparently if you know how to do this, you can scan the QR code (mobile barcode) on the ticket with your phone and it works, too, but I'm an old fogey when it comes to all this modern high-tech stuff. ;)

ETA: Just to be clear, no you don't have to wait till you're at Disney. As soon as that ticket is in your hand, you can go online and get it linked up. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much.
