Ticket Promo coming soon?

The latest rumor I'm hearing is there will be a buy one get one free one day park admission promo coming. Can anyone confirm?

I can confirm that right now you can buy 1 full price ticket and they will let you buy another one at full price too!! ROFLMAO

Sorry I am a comedian I couldn't resist.

$399 was fall 2012. They next had it early 2014, it was $485. If they had it again, it would most likely be around $525, which is the DVC discounted AP price.

$525 would make no financial sense for me. DVC AP renewal rate is $449 and non renewal rate is $529. $525 is no bargain unless it is for a PAP. Current DVC pricing for a PAP is $649. I have the past 2 years purchased the discounted PAP once for $399 which was unbeatable, and then I think it was $429 which is the PAP that I still have and I can renew my PAP for $549 at the current DVC renewal rate or I can downgrade to an AP for $449, so $525 when I have to buy 5 passes is no real discount in my opinion at least to those of us that are already on a PAP. I have until 30 days after expiration to renew which gives me until September 17

The previous prices listed, which were used to come up with the forward prediction, were based on the PAP. I'd expect a special PAP discount to be $10-$25 higher than the DVC AP price.

I was referring to a PAP for $525. The second PAP special was $485, not $429.

OK $485...

still at $525 if that is what the price turns out to be i guess all of us would have to see what do i get for an extra $80 more than the $449 DVC AP renewal rate. I get the water parks and Disneyquest along with Golf and WW of Sports i guess that's a lot if you use them or if you go to the water parks once i guess the PAP pays for itself.. When it was $399 and $485 it seemed like a better deal.

Personally, I think the survey was all about AP holders and ONLY AP holders. As I understand it, the survey went out to AP holders only. I think they are gauging pain threshold and if AP holders will just grin and bear it or if they would rebel against it. AP holders are a large contributor to the residual income at the gates each year. You can't tick this group off but so much or they will impact your bottom line in a negative manner. ;)

I'm not an AP holder, but I did get a survey.

Does anyone remember a AP promo that was for 13 months???
It was something along the lines of the expiration date being the end of the month following the purchase date. I don't recall the details exactly as we wouldn't have benefitted from it when it was offered. But now, yep, I'd like that one to come back (which I think has zero chance of happening!).

You are thinking of Tables in Wonderland. There was a general promo for AP renewals for 15 months.

Actually, I wasn't thinking of TiW (we've had it since it was Disney Dining Experience), I just had forgotten the details of the promo - that it was for AP renewals and was for 15 months. Thanks for the memory!

The TIW has an expiration date at the end of the following month one year later.

While I would love a promotion, I'm now just hoping we don't lose our current ap discount. It got lowered this year and hope it doesn't get lowered further or taken away completely. I had to give up my wait for a new promotion and buy our new APs in May. My husband still has his last promotional PAP that expires in October. I don't think we'll see anything while some folks are still holding PaPs from the last promotion. That would be January 31, 2016. I wasn't a fan of the 4 day ticket because of the no hopper feature.

hmm. Of all of my friends, many who regularly go to WDW, I know of only 1 other AP holder in the DC area. I would have thought that much more revenue comes from AP vs day tickets.

Hey we are in the metro DC area (WV). We are a family of 6 ap holders. My other daughter and family of 3 live in Hagerstown and also ap holders.

Yep. We love how it works. It would be awesome if they did a DVC promo on APs that did the same! I can dream. :)

Better than that would be to have the promo they had during the recession where APs were valid for 18 months. :)

Funny isn't it how a few years ago they were giving more value vs today where the question seems to be just how high can they go?

I'm from the D.C. area and my husband and I are passholders at WDW and Universal Orlando.
