We ordered reg AP's in Feb, just days before this last price increase bcuz we knew it was coming (and so glad we did since they reduced the discount) but I was trying to hold out for that special deal like they had last year on the PAP. We went to DL & Aulani last year so couldn't do the deal. Anyway, I called to order them & asked the CM who helped me "what if" they have a better deal before our trip in July and she said to call back bcuz last year they gave out a "magic number" to people who had bought reg AP's before the deal came out (which weren't activated yet) and this "magic number" allowed them to get the upgrade without penalty!! So I am definitely keeping my eyes out for a special on the PAP!!

We also did DL & Aulani last summer so we couldn't do the the special AP! We seem to keep missing out on those deals because of the timing!

I'm from the D.C. area and my husband and I are passholders at WDW and Universal Orlando.

Copycat! Lol! Both myself and husband also from the metro DC area (wv) both wdw ap holders and universal ap holders. Also my daughter and her family of 4 are wdw ap holders and my other daughter and her family of 3 (Hagerstown) are wdw ap holders. We are all dvc members.

Did they do a special AP before that lasted more than 12 months? It seems like I Remember something like that!

There was a special about 5 years ago where AP renewals were 15 months. It was the only time I renewed an AP. I usually time my trips to get the most out of an AP and then buy a new one on my next trip.

That's what we do too! We get 2-3 trips out of an AP. (About 30-48 days)
