Ticket Prices Increasing June 12th!

Wow, that's quite an increase, and a nice windfall for disney.

So with APs going up $20.00 is it still smart to get tickets through UT and then use them once and bridge them to an AP?

We are going in November for our first time as DVC members. We have 2 adults and 2 adult kids. I was going to get 4 six day park hoppers through UT and then upgrade them at the parks for DVC APs. Should I just go ahead and get DVC APs now before the price goes up or get the MYW park hoppers thgouth UT? Which would be the better deal now? :confused3

For sure for sure???? Underground tourist is safe to buy tickets through? I am going on July 3rd and will need 4 6-day passes. It's okay to buy them now? Thanks!!!

Absolutely. UT is one of the best respected sellers.

im wondering if and when they will discontinue CM perks for getting family and friends in. (or at least reduce the # of times a year)

Ah, BUT Disney has hit a price point that somewhat lost us. Our yearly, 10 day onsite Disney vacation for a family of 6 is no more. Especially with kids hitting 10 and becoming "adults" before they are even out of elementary school. And the lack of being able to accommodate a family our size affordably.

We will still go regularly, and for 10 days. We will still buy APs. BUT we are now going to stay offsite at least every other trip (AP purchase year), which means we will not be dining at Disney anywhere near as much (and we do a lot of TS). We will also start working 2 days in at Universal since we are offsite and the kids are getting older. Probably also means we won't spend as much money in the parks in other areas too.

Disney is gaining a little on one purchase, but losing A LOT on many other purchases. We had talked about buying DVC, but aren't so sure it would be worth it.

Heck, we're even talking a rotation of: year 1 offsite, year 2 onsite (but maybe only part of trip), year 3 skip Disney and buy discount tickets to be upgraded on year 1.

I think it stinks to have 2 price increases in 1 year. Disney is still fun but I will be looking for alternatives for my family. Pretty soon it will be over $100 for a 1 day ticket. :scared1:

LOL! We might still go, but not as often. It is getting harder and harder paying for these passes. We own DVC so the annual always worked for us, but it getting to be to much. I think after this year we will go every other year. It takes me almost a year now to save for 4 passes. I think the increase is getting out of hand, twice a year is too much, when does it stop. Think about it I have DVC until 2042 I think it is, how much a day will it cost my kids to get in at the rate they are going:mad: They need to find a better way of doing this. I guess we will start seeing how it is visiting Disney without going in to the parks.

MYW tickets are seeing a big increase. Each day beyond the 4th is $8/day, up from $5. PH and WPFM up $1 to $55. No Expiration up around $12 at the high end.

1-day base up $3 to $85.

What does that mean about the PH or WPFM? We paid about $50 extra a ticket for Waterpark on ours. I was planning on taking it off and adding the WP option back on depending on rain but maybe I shouldn't?

I just saw this 15 minutes ago and jumped on the website to buy our 4 APs. Like everyone else, it took me by surprise. Ouch!! Guess Disney is really getting into the Pirate spirit.........

Ok, so paid packages are not affected, how about booked packages that still have balance owing? (more than 45 days out) Will the amount I owe change? I had planned on upgrading to one more day at the park, I guess I should do that now, huh? (from a 5 day pass to a 6 day pass)

The cost for the PH or WPFM option was $54+tax prior to the upcoming increase. It will now be $55+tax. So it will cost you $1+tax more if you get rid of it now and then add it back later.

If you've already booked the package at a particular price, I don't believe it will be affected, regardless of whether you've paid it off or not.

Last year the prices increased before our booked package was paid off. We were not charged extra for the increase in ticket prices. That should be the same this year.

However, I wonder what happens if we modify our package? Our TA just today switched us from POP to POR under the original FD offer (that ended Dec 20th). I know our ticket prices will not increase from this change.

But... we have a choice of cancelling our trip or taking the kids. (Kid-free trip will not happen now). If we end up adding the kids & their tickets to our package in late August or early September - I wonder if we pay the old price or the new? And would it affect all the tickets, or just the two new ones?

Shoot - I just realized if we go as a family, our two tickets will be changed from PH to WP&M. Hmm... those are normally the same price anyways aren't they?

Thank you so much for posting this! I went ahead and purchased our tickets for our upcoming trip. No sense in waiting and spending more.

Does anyone have an undercover tourist code? I signed up a few months back but havent gotten a newsletter and hadn't worried about b/c I thought I would have a few more months before I bought tickets.
