Ticket Prices Increasing June 12th!

We currently have ressies at Swan/Dolphin. However, I will change to Disney owned if a good deal/free dining come out for our dates.

SO, if I buy park tickets now can I later apply my tickets to a package or do my tickets have to be bought at the same time as my hotel to actually make it a package?-- does that make sense?

You cannot apply pre-purchased tickets towards a new package. A package is defined as booking a room AND tickets.

..... :lmao:
but, it's getting old.. for me, at least..

when ticket's get to like $100... ugh, wow.

i dread when that day comes as it's starting to add up.

but, on the other hand if i knew where i put the 7 day pass of non expiring hoppers and the 5 day pass for base tickets i bought one year ago, and the 6 day pass hoppers bought 2 years ago, i would be saving money.

i just know i'll end up buying passes again on UT tomorrow.
can't pass up a good deal.

would be a better deal if i could find the 3 passes i bought before last years increase in order to save money.

better yet to find, the 7 different disney hotel key cards that i have 2 basic days of tickets on, which i haven't used yet.
i had booked room only then changed to a package.
thus getting tickets on my room key which i didn't need on those trips.

i have saved plenty of money over the past few years by buying extra tickets in advance before price increases started.
i would buy for the present upcoming trip and more passes to hold back for future trips.

of course non of that helps me as i can't remember where i put them in my house.

I so know what you mean! We used to have our passes put on our room keys too. I've since stopped doing this after not remembering which keys have which tickets! This upcoming trip I'm taking several sets of keys to guest services and see if they can tell me which keys have the tickets. Now I just use the hoppers as they come from UT! So much easier to keep up with!:)

This was so painful to read. More price increases. I know that WDW wants to get away from "deep discounts" etc., but increasing rates 1-2 times a year is a bit much. Once discounts "dry up" guests are going to be shocked w/ how much a trip will cost, expecially for those that have to travel or fly. Don't even get me going on airline costs. :headache: What once would be a 5-6 day trip for some will now be a 3-4 day trip. I read in the article that guests agree WDW is a strong value but c'mon.

I don't know when we'll be going again...when we do, we hope tickets aren't at $100 a day....:scared1: We love WDW, but .......:sad2:

This is a trifle confusing, but I think I've figured it out. We've booked, but were going to add a day and haven't yet...so, now we can't without paying the additional for all tickets? YIPES...may not be worth it...hmmm.

I just got home and read about this. I was like :scared1: How ridiculous. A 5 day pass is gonna be $251? Come on.

Here is the new price chart. Within the next few days all of the information in the ticket sticky will be updated.

If you are only adding a day, wait until you NEED to add the day. If you've already used the tickets, they'll have the value of the gate price of that ticket on that day - so their value is automatically "increased" to current prices. However, you'll need to pay the cost of the extra day as it is then ($8) instead of the current price ($5).

You could call tomorrow to add the day at the current price...

Yes. I have been with Disney for almost six years. In April my pay went from $8.30 up to $8.55 per hour. This has to be paid for somehow.

I had no idea how poorly you were paid, Cheshire Figment.
All the more reason to thank you for all you do for those of us on these boards. So: "THANK YOU"!

I've never said this before, but Corporate Disney should be ashamed.

Actually my Disney income is about 4% of my total income. I am retired and work at Disney for the fun of it; I spend more money there in a month than I earn there.

I'll be ordering from AAA South tomorrow. Glad to have the heads up. Anyone know what a "resident charter" is? It appears under Annual Pass prices. Just wondering as the prices are lower than simply "resident" rates, which I assume refers to FL residents.

Thanks.

"Charter" is a term used for people who took advantage of a program when it first cam out. FL Resident AP Charter Passes are for FL Residents who got APs when they were first offered, and kept renewing them. If they ever stopped, they'd lose that lower price.

Given that they still list a non-renewal price, I'm guessing there is some detail that if they don't renew but get a new one within a certain period, it still counts.
