Okay so I'm stuck in my planning. I am coming up on when I need to purchase my ticket for my solo trip but I'm not sure how many days I should get.

My current plan is Feb. 23 (Monday Arrival) to Feb. 28 (Saturday Departure).
On Monday, my flight gets in at 2 pm so I know I definitely have time to go to a park that day. However, on Saturday, I have a breakfast ADR at Kona Cafe at 9:15 and Magic Express is picking me up at 1 pm.

So the question is, do I get a Six-Day ticket to get in to a park on Saturday or, should I just get a 5-Day ticket? If I do the 5-Day ticket, what do you suggest I do on Saturday before I have to leave for the airport?

Thanks for all of your help and suggestions!

Seems like a waste to use a ticket on Saturday. There is so much more WDW to explore. Perhaps visit a resort you haven't been to previously? Or take a boat ride to "nowhere in particular". Find a nice spot and people watch. :wave2:

Where are you staying? Places to walk you haven't done before?

by the time you are done at Kona Café there really isn't that much time left

Where are you staying?

If you are not at the Poly (or possibly on the Monorail) it is going to take a while to get from there to your resort for your pickup. You don't have a lot of time between breakfast and having to leave.

If you are at the Poly---I'd sleep in a little more and move breakfast closer to brunch. That way you can stay out late the night before if you like.

Either way, I'd stick with 5-day tickets. My experience has been that trying to hit a park on departure day is usually a mistake. Instead, I sleep in, get a late breakfast/brunch, and then hang around the pool and soak up the relaxed atmosphere instead.

I would just buy the five day pass, you can always add a day later if you decide you want to go to a park on Saturday.

You do not indicate where you are staying, that will play into what you might do on Saturday after Kona, which would only be about 2-2.5 hours before DME pickup. If they give you a DME pick up time of 1pm, you actually need to be there ready to go at 12:45 pm as they have a +/-15 minute window.

I agree with others.Your last day after breakfast doesn't give you much time.:thumbsup2

Sorry, I should have mentioned I was staying at All Star Music.

I didn't know about the +/- 15 minute thing!

I was thinking that I would try to be a bit more laid back that day.

I was thinking about visiting some of the other Deluxe resorts that I haven't been to yet. Hopefully, I'll have time for at least the Wilderness Lodge.

The more I think about it, the more a 5-Day ticket makes sense.

You won't have time to hit a park in between. When we've had Kona ADRs they haven't let us check in until ADR time, then we've waited *at least* 15 minutes before a table is ready. Then service has been slow and the meals are huge, so breakfast can take a bit of time.

Hopefully, I'll have time for at least the Wilderness Lodge.

Can you get there from the Poly? Or will you be monorailing back to MK, getting away from the monorail and into a boat line then to the boat? Those things are going to take time.

When it comes to Disney transportation, I'm seriously risk adverse, and I wouldn't even attempt a monorail-resort trip between finishing at Kona and going back to All Stars.

I would FAR rather leave my swimsuit in a park bag, head back to All Stars, and swim for an hour before drying off and going to the ME stop.

Lots of good points, and know that you can request a late checkout so that you can leave a change of clothes in your room And dry off before traveling if you choose pool time. Can't be guaranteed in advance, but we were told that our POP resort was completely booked and turning over on our departure weekend and they still offered my sister late checkout when she hadn't even consideed it before.

I agree 5 day tickets make the most sense. If you have time and want to see WL, you can take a boat from Poly, check it out, hop a bus to MK, and from there back to AS resort. Whatever you decide, have a great trip!! :goodvibes

Yikes! Now you have me slightly worried about my ADR.

Maybe I'll just play that day (time wise) by ear. I had planned on taking the monorail from Poly to MK then take the boat from MK to WL. I would either bus it or boat it back to MK then back to All Star Music.

If breakfast does take longer than I expect maybe I'll just tour Poly and snap some pics.
