Tiana's Place

I have ways to go but I can't wait to try this restaurant. I can tell you I will definitely be ordering two of the desserts on the menu.

Maybe the menu will evolve over time...I'm looking forward to it as is...but it would be nice if they added the typical N'awlins fare like gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp creole.

BUT they do have beignets and bread pudding...so I am HAPPY!

oK....Now I need to drive to Pat O'Briens in City Place and have a proper N.O. dinner...well, as close as possible to proper outside of N.O.

I'm almost afraid to ask....

It was overcooked, gummy, bland tomato rice. You could also slap this on a plate with enchiladas and it'd work. We prefer a roux-base. Hubby learned to cook his chicken/sausage/pork jambalaya from fellas who cooked in competition. He also only cooks it in a large cast-iron kettle. That makes a big difference. Disney should seriously send their food people out to the region to learn these things. Hubby would gladly bring his kettle & ingredients if they'd like a lesson.

Unfortunate.

Yes, you have the standard rotational menu in each MDR, no pirate menu.

thank you!!! that's great to know..
DD and i were already stressing about it, since there are two menus we like and one we don't...
so we wanted to be sure we had that restaurant on pirate night so we wouldn't miss out on the menus we do like..
this is very good news!!

what is that?
