As far as I know, unless you are an AP holder, you will only be able to book FP+ for the duration of your stay on-site. Someone will be around to correct me if I'm wrong. :goodvibes

You can book it for the duration of your ticket. It is connected to your ticket, not your room reservation. However you can only make reservations 60 days from your arrival date

well it was just announced on another thread, that starting monday 3/31 offsite guests will be able to prebook at 30 days out and use MDE on the app and not have to wait in the long kiosk lines!!! ;)) magic bands will be available for purchase, if desired, but no price yet..

so I wonder if this will changes things on the one night now? My window opens tomorrow, I guess I will find out if I can still book beyond that in a few days..

Great news for offsite! :)

I just saw the offsite MDE access post as well, and am totally torn on my throwaway room reservation now. We already got our MagicBands, so I'm assuming they would still work for our TICKETS since they're linked in my MDE but I am concerned that my FP+s will cancel (as we'd been told BEFORE pre-booking was allowed for off-siters) and since we're less than 30 days out so I really worry I won't be able to re-book my existing FP+s. I might try calling Disney IT to see what they can do on Friday, but will be watching this thread intently to see how it plays out in real life with anyone who cancels the throwaway now that we have the prebooking ability. FP+ prebooking was the ONLY reason we booked the throwaway room (won't use parking or any other "perks", and are staying at a resort that offers EMH access), so I'm torn.

I would have been happy to just use the RFID tickets, and lived without Magic Bands so I feel a little icky getting them for free if Disney is going to start charging off-siters. I would guess that along with this change, they will start holding MBs at the resort for check-in instead of shipping them so that people don't book then cancel just to get free MBs to skirt the fee.

I know, I am torn if I should xln now too (although we don't have magic bands yet) I will know after this weekend, if it still allows to book my offsite days, or if it will now make me wait until 30 days?

My kids really want the bands lol, for our family it is a cost savings measure to just keep the reservation (which will also include the parking for 2 days) I have until mid April to xln and make up my mind on which direction we want to go, and how this will play out alittle?

but so glad this opened up for everyone now :)

Get your bands for free, get your free parking days...go to the room, jump on the beds, swim in the pool, park and ride the bus to Downtown, see what else they have at the resort...

Quit yer worrying!

:lmao: haha I know right, there are worse things to be worrying about for sure!

I have my throwaway room on May 31, so my FP+ opens at midnight tuesday. Hopefully I will be able to continue booking FP+ at the 60 day mark instead of 30 days!

I'm in the "not a loophole" camp. I wouldn't be surprised if offsiters get advanced FP+ as early as the next month or two. Disney knew from the beginning they would get it eventually and are probably enjoying a nice little spike in on site bookings as a result of the so called throwaway room. It isn't an onsite perk, onsiters just happened to be the first in line for the rollout.

I'm quoting my own quote. I gave it a month or two. Apparently I should have said within days .... Ah well.

I've been saying for over a year that offsite would get it...few believed me then... :)

I for one was swayed by the "Disney is spending $1.8 million on FP+ because they're greedy and want to squeeze every last dime out of their customers, and the best way to do that would be to limit this diabolical plan to 40% of their guests, while chasing away all of their loyal guests" argument...

Don't I feel stoopid!

mine is tomorrow so I will know after the weekend if it still works... ;)

I have a quick question. We have 2 rooms booked at AOA for the end of our trip. I have or tickets linked in MDE. Will we be able to book FP+60 days early only for those last 2 days? Or will it still be under the length of ticket, which is 6 days? Sorry if that's confusing!

Ours is June 1st! But we will be staying in the room and MK has EMH until 2 am so we are taking advantage of that too!

You will only be able to book starting with your first day on site. In my case, I have 5 nights booked off site and then the 6th night is booked on site. I can only book FP+ starting on that last night's day. So I can't book any FP+ for any of my off site stay.

Thanks. That's kind of what I was thinking.

It looks like you will be able to book FP+ as they are starting with offsite prebooking 30 days out on Monday. :woohoo:

Throwaway campsite is working perfectly. (I would have booked a hotel room but they're crazy expensive with 5 of us).

We arrive May 29th with a 1 night campsite reservation, and 8 day tickets. Each day I'm able to book another day of FP+. So today I'm able to book June 1. Tomorrow I can book June 2, etc.

Every attraction and time window seems to be available so that I'm able to book everything I want for the times I want.

So overall a great deal for us, we get 2 days of parking, 8 days of FP+, and 5 magic bands for the price of 1 night of camping.

Thanks so much for reporting back. Our first park day will be June 9.

So today you were able to book for 60 days out even though it was after your check out day? I have been wondering with the recent change of off-site guest being able to pre-book but at 30 days, that with a throwaway room, you would be able to book 60 days out for only check in and check out day and then all days after would go to the 30 days out.

5 MBs and 2 days of parking is $98.95. That more than covers the cost of the campground.

I had the same question and didn't know the answer either. Yes, I can now book FP's for all the days after our check out day. Each day one more day opens up for booking (60 days out).
