Three Things...Gratitude Thread

While I really shouldn't be taking the risk, my reactions are always gastrointestinal (vs. anaphylaxis). Not that I enjoy feeling 🤢and getting violently ill, but it's better than my throat swelling shut. I've had mixed results, but bay scallops make me just as ill as clams. I suspect it's because some bivalves are "cleaner" than others. Thankfully, I have never been a fan of mussels or oysters.
Same for me on the type of reaction, and I also don't like oysters, so I haven't had those since well before the scallop thing started. I don't think I've challenged muscles, either. I have had clams/chowder and and been OK, though.

Soups/stews:

>Chowda! I love seafood chowder, NE clam chowder, corn chowder.
>I have a friend who makes a white chicken chili that is to die for; in fact, I'm making it for dinner tomorrow night!
>Tonkotsu ramen soup... Rich pork broth, noodles, egg, mushrooms, shredded pork, veg. Yum!

Triangle things-
Pie
Pizza
My nana's cake server

California things-
>DD!! She is originally a California girl, born at UCSF. We moved from CA when she was only a few months old. I always think/sing... "I found my heart, in San Francisco..."
>Yosemite National Park
>Tule fog, which is very different from the fog we get here in New England.

WDW soups I am grateful for :)
All the soups at Boma! I know I shouldn't fill up on soup at an expensive buffet, but I can't resist them
Lobster bisque at Yachtsman Steakhouse
Mushroom bisque which can be ordered off menu at the bar next to Artist's Point.
Honorable mention: the tomato soup and grilled cheeses at Woody's and Beach Club

We love the soups at Boma! DD and I finally decided we'd be sharing tastes of several soups each trip, so we don't get too full before the rest of the buffet!

Good Thursday Morning

#1 - STELLA & CHEWY’S DOG TREATS - I’m beyond grateful for these dog treats because my Otis loves them. I’m looking at them right now on the kitchen table. All we need to do is say “Come” while shaking the magic bag and he’ll come running from anywhere. They aren’t cheap though, but it’s worth the cost.

#2 - AIRPODS PRO - These are best because they block out most noise around you. I love them for the gym and for the airplane. My regular AirPods I use other places where I don’t want to block out noise, like when I’m walking the dog.

#3 - MICKEY MOUSE STUD EARRINGS - My DH bought these for me over 20 years ago and I wear them in my second earring hole every day.

Afternoon all,

1. Small cars - I don't have a small car, at least not in eyes, and I really miss having something a bit smaller. Unlike the US where you have massive cars but massive roads and parking spaces to go with, cars in the UK seem to be getting bigger but the roads and parking spaces aren't. My car is the biggest I've ever had and while some will not think that about it, for me it's a bit too big and I'm looking forward to getting a smaller one next year.

2. Cats - they're just small, lovable weirdos who are a bit bonkers, or mine are at least.

3. Small plates/snack foods - any sort of food that comes as a smaller plate or portion, usually meaning you can try lots of different options - like tapas or all the foods on offer at the Epcot festivals.

DD19- She's tiny. She tells people she's 5' tall, but she's really 4'11" on a good day!

Crossbody/Fannypack bags- I used to be the girl lugging around a huge tote, but with my girls being older and DD19 carrying her meds, I've been able to abandon my larger bags. Yes, I bring them out here and there, but most days I favor these very small bags that don't fit much more than my wallet and keys. It's quite freeing.

Small Camera Lenses - While my new toy for my camera is big and heavy, I love my two little prime lenses. I have a 50mm and a 24mm. They are both very speedy and they are super small...especially the 24mm, which I can usually just leave on the body during storage. For their speed they were also great deals for the respective prices, so grateful there as well.
